JUST SPOKE WITH THE SHELTER IN L.A. RONI HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!!!!!! WE DID IT, FOLKS!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!

LET'S MAKE A MIRACLE, FOLKS, AND SAVE THIS CAT'S LIFE!

Photobucket

NETWORK FAR AND
WIDE.... he has gotten NO RESPONSE!!!
HE IS SO SWEET AND HIS TIME
IS UP TOMORROW!!! HES A LUVBUG!!! PLEASE HELP HIM!!!! His Name is "Roni" as in
Macaroni, and he's orange and white, with tabby stripes....
PLEASE READ HIS AD BELOW AND SEND OUT FAR AND WIDE!!

"RONI" cute, Sweet CAT to be PUT DOWN @ Shelter TOMORROW!!! ='(

PLEASE SAVE RONI!!!! he's just a lovebug with a cold and they were going to put
him down at the shelter because of overcrowding in the cages 2 days ago. Tomorrow
morning is his last chance. He is so cute and amazing....but he is VERY, VERY
DEPRESSED there. the shelter supervisor said he won't even
lift his head up bc he has given up all hope!

He is an 8 year old male and the
family that once protected him thathe thought loved him dumped him there, after
8 straight years of him living in a home. Now he is so sad, terrified, and
extremely depressed....

Look how cute he is!!! This is his
last chance. I have put up two other ads for him before with NO RESPONSE. Is
there anyone out there that can save Roni, show him that life is not about
abandonment and pain, that his life isn't over, that he is safe in someone's arms?

ANYONE? PLEASE. they put down so many other kitties today and I don't want Roni
to be put down tomorrow, he's such a sweet, great cat....He just needs to be seen
by a vet that does free first exams (overland veterinary does, laurel animal hospital in west hollywood does, and ANY VCA does
if you print their coupon from the vca site, plus there are many more....) His
antibiotics would only be $10-$15 dollars tops....

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP RONI, his life
has been misery and abandonment, and he deserves real love bc hes such a good
boy....

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP HIM.....NOT ONE OTHER PERSON HAS STOOD UP FOR
HIM.

contact North Central shelter at 213-485-5767 (their address is 3201 lacy st, los angeles, ca)
and ask about id# 1066091, and place
an interested party hold on him which gives you 24 hours to go rescue
him!!! PLEASE SOMEONE find it in your heart to help him, PLEASE....

That's really sad.  I'm in the dead-center of the United States.  If I were in Los Angeles, I'd take him.

This is so sad. If I lived near there i would. Hopefully someone near LA will come to their senses and help a beautiful cat out and let him continue to live and enjoy the rest of his precious life here on earth.

..If I weren't allergic to cats and lived in the LA area, I'd do it in a heartbeat.  I hate it that they feel they have to put him down because of "overcrowding" - there are lots of shelters that don't euthenize unless there's a compelling medical reason.  I'm so sorry.....

Can we at least pay to have him transported to a no kill shelter? If we can arrange this is LA, my friend Portia and I will bring him to Chicago, where we live. But- being in Chicago, the logistics are a little tough. HELP!

I live in MI, and if I took another cat (my two are both rescue kitties - we love them immensely) we'd be evicted.  :(

I would love to take him here in South Dakota, we live on a farm in the country.  But, it is the logistics and cost to bring him here that I wish I could afford.  I would get him here tomorrow if I could!

I wonder if we could all pitch together and set up a 'Roni Fund' and get together the fees to ship him to someone who can take him. Think they'd let us? Any ideas?

We rescued a 10 year old cat from a shelter just a day or two before she was going to be put down...just because she was old. We've had her for 2 years and she's such a loving kitty :-)

It is always a wonderful thing when an abused or abandoned animal is saved or adopted. I am currently doing this out of my home, I have 35+ felines that I have rescued and adopt out. They get vaccinated, neutered or spayed as well as any medical treatment that is needed. These animals bring me such great happiness...

Yeah!!!!  So very happy to hear that Roni found a loving home to go to.  I so want to say "thank you" to the very special person who found it in their hearts to save Roni from a fate he didn't deserve.  Shame on his prior owners for even bringing him to a high kill shelter, what the hell were they thinking?

Nice of you to help him out Chip. I was wondering if you could look at a video my friend Dana took of the ghost in his room. They had a priest come in and bless the house and the growling is gone but he still has a ghost and it's wearing him out. The video is on myspace. video on my site. If you get a chance please let me know what we can do to get rid of it. Thank you. Vicki

It's sad to think so many wonderful animals are put to death simply because they're abandoned. Next time anyone is thinking of purchasing a "pure breed" puppy or kitten go to ur local shelter and give an older loving pet a second chance cuz MUTTS RULE! :) ty

As a shelter worker, I hate to see this happen...I give all my love to them as much as possible and it breaks my heart knowing that there are so many Roni's out there...if you cannot adopt a forever friend you can become a foster family...I save many lives doing that...

I'M SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW I'M CRYING. I had no idea this was even here in tyour blog Chip. Maybe it was posted before you and I "met"? I'm in a horrible financial state right now and if I'd known about him and could've gotten to him I would've taken him. I already have one kitty named Velcro (because he used to stick to the curtains when he was a baby LOL) and I think he would've loved a partner to lounge with. He gets lonely when I have a job.

I'm just so happy for the lil guy. I will sleep better tonight for sure :')

..Glad to hear that the li'l fella got a home. =) My wife and I have five cats, three of which are rescued animals. And yes, that is a lot of cats, and no they are not all inside (just two). But they have warm, safe cubbys to sleep in, two meals of dry food mixed with jack mackrel per day, have been spayed/neutered and get lots of attention. Our female Molly, had a litter awhile back (before spaying)and we had ELEVEN total, but we managed to find homes for all but five...because well...that's just too damned many cats. We loved 'em all, but jeez. Anyway, good work Chip. Even the life of the dingiest, straggliest (is that a word?) stray animal is sacred, and deserves a good, loving home. ..

I'm so glad Roni got a home.  couldn't you just do this all day and night though?  So many animals are unwanted, landlords that won't accept pets and people who shouldn't own pets out there, if they can't take care of them.  God love 'em they deserve better than they get everyday.  Please keep this in mind and dnate to your local animal shelters, adopt a pet, and take care and appreciate the pets you have....
I have two cats, Bailey and lucy, Bailey is almost 14, on November 19th she will be 14, Lucy is 3.  Over my lifetime I have had 17 cats, and one lived to be 20 years old.  they are true frends, and their love is unconditional.
