Hello Again -
I must admit I've neglected the MySpace Blog a bit! I'll have to do some composter confessionals for that! But today is a special event -- It's
WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY! What does that mean? Isn't everyday "world environment day?"
Two garden sporks up for that! I couldn't agree more. But I feel a certain affinity to this day as it especially a time to
SPREAD THE WORD! The UN has a great site for the occasion with
resources for the new and old environmentalists. If you are still looking for ways to save energy and "go green" (I'm beginning not to like that phrase - but that should be a different blog) then they have a link to some very practical tips (some of which I didn't know and I thought I was an OLD environmentalists!
Go to the World Environment Day 2009 page and check it out.
Another big push from this occasion is tree planting and paper saving. Please encourage those stubborn office mates or students to expand their margins (and minds), use double-sided print and to not print what they don't need. A little adds up to a lot.
So Happy World Environment Day! Please share any thoughts if you have them or any experiences from the day.
yours in humus,
Glenda Greenhouse
