Current mood:  hopeful
I voted in Los Angeles County, California. It didn't take very long. 10 minutes maybe, and it was very close to my house. We had paper ballots, so no worries there.

However, my registration was misplaced or lost somehow, so I had to vote provisionally. I am pretty upset about that and hope my vote is counted. If it's not counted and the propositions or National Election go the other way, I will be very upset.

Did you vote? Did you have to wait in long lines? Are you too young to vote? Did you experience any voting machine errors? Did you experience similar registration problems?

-Ryan

P.S. - I think this is the most important election of my lifetime. I have never voted for George W. Bush, nor will I vote for anyone who pals around with him or Dick Cheney. In my book they are war criminals.

I voted in Oakland, California. I waited in line for about an hour but I was not complaining. My first time voting in a presidential election, and my candidate actually won. That's incredible. I dig a politician for the first time, and I got to vote for him. I think that's pretty badass.

But I'm crushed about proposition 8. I guess we've got a lot of work to do before we can have equal rights.

I voted in Modesto, California. Didn't have to wait in line, because I went a little after 4 when most 9-5ers were still working... A small line starting forming when I was leaving, though. I didn't like how the poll worker lady hella stared at my ballot when I was inserting it in the machine. My boyfriend said the same thing happened to him, and the guy actually sighed or scoffed when he saw it.
Horrible!
My boyfriend and I voted for different candidates, though.
:D
It was my first presidential voting experience and definitely historical, as we all know. I think it's awesome that it was a first vote for so many.
Even older folks!
Desperate times call for... well, voting, I guess! :)

Our whole county votes by mail. Once it goes in the mailbox, God knows what happens to it. We came up with a great idea for the next mail ballot. We are going to get a group together and have a wine and cheese voting party. We will select someone from the group, and all of us will write them in for one of the uncontested races. Of course we will keep the party small enough so that we don't have someone accidently elected as county dog catcher.
