alright. well as im sure most people know, jinx removing is done. yup. after two and a half years of playing we've decided to call it quits for this band. it's quiet a bummer because those past two years of my life were fun as hell. i go to play with some great up and coming bands, meet new friends, and just write music i loved. i'm going to miss playing with ross quite a bit because we had some good chemistry going. with that, let's get down to other shit.
the band and myself would like to thank everyone who came to the shows, purchased any of our merch, bought us beer, and had fun at our shows. without you guys, we wouldnt have done anything.
big big big thanks to james of out the lights/a blue print to a better life productions for helping us out with shows and getting us our first show. without his help, oh boy, we wouldn't have done shit.
thanks to all the bands that played with us! it was a real joy getting to play with you guys. hopefully we can do it again in the future.
last by not least: our friends. when jinx started we wanted this to be a band that was all about our friends and it was all the way up to the end. thanks you guys. without you we wouldve be fucked.
so what's next? well...i of course have lots of things im involved with. greg and i are starting another band called Good News From France (
http://www.myspace.com/goodnewsfromfrance) that will be gearing up here for shows pretty damn fast. i'm excited to keep playing with him because he is one of the best drummers i know and one of the nicest guys in the world. I also have my other band Smokestacks (
http://www.myspace.com/smkstcks) that should be releasing material here soon. Also greg and i have SeaFour (
http://www.myspace.com/seafourmusic) that will maybe do stuff as well.
ross is going to have another band soon. ill post a link once it has a myspace and shit.
you can still pick up our record at cactus here in bozeman, ear candy in missoula, and places like itunes and amazon. i think im going to start selling the copies i have left for $5 a piece so if you'd like on, get in contact with me.
anyway...thanks again bozeman, missoula, and montana for all your kind welcome and fun times. it's going to be kind of shitty not playing in jinx removing anymore but hey we might be back someday! thanks again!
