Please, please, please stop BLOCKING links to my PERSONAL site from
myspace. It's been up since 1999 and I am no spammer. It appears that
you are blocking any www.airtoons.com URL. Here's a screen shot of the
screen I see when I click an airtoons link from within myspace: http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/2735/picture1qf7.png

Please enable links to my web site as soon as possible. I use myspace
as a vehicle to promote my site, but I absolutely do so in an honest and
non-spammer way. I'd be happy to discuss this more over email or
phone if you'd like.

Hello,

There are several reasons why your right to access your account/profile or uploading privileges have been suspended. This can include phishing as well. Some of them are as follows:

* Your account has been flagged and locked out for spamming. Using automated programs, or bots, to automatically send out material from your account is against MySpace Terms of Service.

* If you are having difficulties sending messages or leaving comments, your account may have been phished. If there are comments or bulletins on your page you don't recognize, delete it immediately and change your password. This will prevent further phishing of your account/profile and those of your friends. We also recommend the following:

Make sure that when you are logging into your account that you are on the official MySpace page. Look at the address bar to ensure http://www.myspace.com is the URL. If anything else is present, retype http://www.myspace.com and proceed to log in.

Changing your password – your profile will have a message from Tom on your home page. If you follow the link, you will be able to change your password. If you did not receive Tom's message, please go to your account settings located next to your profile pic and change your password there.

Removing your html – Unfortunately, phishers will sometimes leave bad code in your html so your profile will continue to get blocked. Please remove all html through your safe mode (located near your home page profile pic) and add new html.

Removing comments – Bad html code is also left in your comment boxes. You should delete comments through the safe mode (located near your home page profile pic) that say "Click Me" or messages that your friends wouldn't leave you.

* Audio or video content has been blocked or removed from your profile. Content may be blocked/removed because we received a notice from the copyright owner claiming you were infringing its rights, because the content was recognized by MySpace's copyright filter, or because your use of the content violated MySpace's Terms and Conditions. As a result your upload privileges have been suspended.

To reinstate your upload privileges you must click here to complete our http://collect.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=copyright (please cut and paste the address into your web address bar). When you complete that program your upload privileges will be reinstated.

MySpace terminates the accounts of repeat copyright infringers. Please be careful not to include content on your profile that you do not have permission to use so you can continue to be a part of the MySpace community.

Hi, thank you for the reply, however none of these reasons apply to my
situation. Myspace users request to be my friend, I accept and sometimes I
personally leave them a comment with a link to my web site. That's
about the extent of my "spamming." I do not phish, I do not use
automated scripts or bots. I don't add thousands of users only to spam
them. My account isn't locked out or phished... I'm able to use my
account just fine. I am not trying to upload anything either. The
problem is that no myspace users can click an airtoons link to visit
my site. I can imagine that you allow myspace users to click through
to comedians' personal sites, which is basically what I am trying to
do, so I am really confused as to why airtoons.com links are being
denied. Could you please provide further detail, or remove the denial
on links to my personal site?

Hi, I appreciate the reply, however it still does not seem to be fixed
for me... for example, on my profile I link directly to my site from 6
thumbnail images under my "Blurbs" section.

They are all still loading the "disabled" error message.

In order to avoid having your messages caught in the spam filtering system, you will have to create a new message. Replying back and forth to the same messages creates what is sometimes referred to as chain link messages. These will be recognized as spam and disable your ability to communicate messages with your friends.

Let me try to explain this again.

The problem I'm having is that nobody can post a link to my web site
on myspace and click on it to visit it... (www.airtoons.com) When they
click on a link to my web site they receive the myspace "this link has
been disabled" error page. http://www.myspace.com/Error404msp.aspx So,
since my web site is a legitimate personal hobby site that I've owned
since 1999, (I am definitely not a spammer or phisher, and it isn't a
virus) I'm asking you to please enable linking to it.

My issue has nothing to do with sending messages as you've mentioned
below. I can send messages just fine. Please re-enable LINKING to my
web site - www.airtoons.com - from myspace.com pages.

Hahah, I'm betting that the Myspace Customer Service training handbook reads a little something like this:

"WHAT TO DO WHENEVER SOMEONE CONTACTS YOU:

a) Make up some sort of official-sounding excuse even though it has nothing to do with the person's issue.
b) Link the user to our terms of service
c) Tell customer to fix the issue themselves
d) Go back to losing at solitaire"

Wee! In other news I have my workaround in place... Thanks for nothin' Myspace Customer Support!
