Current mood: intimidated Category: Friends
I'm sorry about this – I only cracked after several days of sustained torture and intimidation by a skilled member of the Italian mafia with advanced seduction skills, but I've been coerced into passing this on against my better judgement… forgive me.
If you, in turn have been tagged please join in and "blog" 10 facts about yourself then choose 10 friends to tag, leave them a comment "you've been tagged, read my blog " do not tag the person who tagged you or someone who has already been tagged, confused ? "
The way it works is I get to reveal 10 things about myself and pass the tag on to 10 more people. Interesting.. (if only I was) so here goes...
1. Chain letters like this are one of my pet hates – and I apologise profusely to those of you whom I have tagged in turn – I didn't want to let down La Eli – so I've chosen the people that I thought were nicest/most intelligent/most beautiful/funniest/most creative to pass this on to (^_^); 2. I can't drive and I can't be bothered learning how to – but I am addicted to the high speed hover driving game Wipeout on PS2/PSP – particularly when listening to FSOL's Landmass on the Sagarmatha course and Orbital's PETROL on Altima VII – The driving technique that years of this has given me doesn't bear thinking about if I was behind the wheel of a real car; 3. I listen to a fair amount of "classical" music but loathe Mozart – Whatever it is that is so obvious about his work that makes musicologists the world over agree that he's the greatest must, by its very same obviousness, be precisely what makes him sound unbearable to me – When I can remember, I celebrate his deathday on 5 December; 4. I try to remember to play "September" by David Sylvian on the first of September each year – and it's my favourite month; 5. I try never to miss eating outside at lunchtime on a sunny day – unfortunately, this is Scotland, so we hardly have any; 6. There are a lot of restaurants/bars in Edinburgh that I refuse to eat in because of the music that they play – and I made my dentist take off his Van Morrison album when I was in the chair - because for me it was like the torture scene in Marathon Man – with 20/20 hindsight, this was a bad tactical move immediately before he gave me root canal treatment; 7. I favour summary execution for people caught spitting gum in the street; 8. If I got captured by enemy forces and they wanted me to talk - forcing me to watch football would get me talking immediately (I can't even stand the sound of it) - anything I didn't know, I'd find out; 9. I like to put things into a cosmic perspective when I almost get stressed by reminding myself that I'm on a rock spinning through space - (on an utterly insignificant little blue-green planet far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the galaxy (R. Adams)) - and that most things that could stress me don't matter a damn; 10. I find most things about life really funny – including the ones that should really make me panic.
