I am a Palestinian no matter where i was born I am a Palestinian no matter what my ID show I am a Palestinian no matter where i go I am a Palestinian Because i always have hope even when i say i DON'T I am a Palestinian Because I'm exhausted but i know i have to move on I am Palestinian because no matter how much you put me down I always stand up strong I am a Palestinian because i'd rather be the revolutionary oppressed and not a cowered rat behind a tank scared of stones I am a Palestinian because i refuse to be a clone of heartless people living in comfortably careless homes I am a Palestinian because i am not fashionably sensitive and i care about the struggle of the people all day long I am a Palestinian because i wear a Kuffiye way before famous people put it on I am a Palestinian because to me it's already known that commercialized art is not a beautiful tone I am a Palestinian because i never belong to mainstream societies and where the struggle is there is my home I am a Palestinian because i fight when I'm in pain not just to do you wrong I am a Palestinian because i am honestly free from the shallow surface of my skin deep to my bones I am a Palestinian and i don't just want to own a land, it is myself i want to own I am a Palestinian because i can feel the pain of people i don't know I am a Palestinian Because I'm simply Human and all i can do is write this poem Abeer Alzinaty
