But all of these fucking people who think Roman Polanski, first of all, was ..exiled.., apparently don't realize the difference between exile and free fucking will. Secondly, I don't care if it was a crime from the 70's, and he's "paid for it". He fucking pays for it when he does the same time anyone else would have done for the same crime. All this bullshit about celebrities getting off easy because they're famous and have money is part of what's wrong with the world today. And shame on the Oscars and similar organizations for recognizing his work AT ALL since he escaped sentencing. I think acknowledging his work bypassed the criminal he was, and made it seem "okay" for him to have done what he did. I think Switzerland (although they say they didn't WANT to hand him over, which we all know is them covering their asses for helping out the good ol' stars and stripes) were right to have done what they did. He's been getting away with this for WAY TOO LONG. Personally, I think he deserves to be fucking hanged. And I hope it takes a long, painful, suffering before he dies. Artist be DAMNED.
