Current mood: tired
So I win this Marlboro contest, for being on their mailing list, right? It's a free ride in a racecar, at the Dover Speedway. I dont really give two shits, and would have skipped out on it completely, but my dad is kind of in to NASCAR, and I never spend any time with him besides work, so I decide to go. He offers to drive, and picks me up at around 9 this morning. We get about 5 miles from the Bay Bridge, and the traffic is unbelievable. It literally took us 4 hours to get across the bridge from there. We heard that it was caused by an accident, a tractor trailer. When we finally got to cross the bridge, we saw the truck in the water next to the bridge. Once over the bridge, the traffic cleared quickly, but when we finally arrived at the racetrack, they told us that we were too late. I mostly lamented about the waste of a perfectly good Sunday, but my dad seemed pretty bummed out that he didn't get to ride in the racecars. See what I get for trying to be nice?
