Warm winds in February fool the flowers into bloomin'. Springtime's comin' but it ain't here yet. There is regrowth and renewal in the dead of winter, but who wouldn't hope for an early turn of season?
Thanks for checking in...I am encouraging that turn of season with a few solo dates in Charlotte and in my backyard down in York County SC. Check out historic downtown York if you are looking to make a break from Charlotte's gravity field and get back to a bit of real small-town Carolina...more and more good music happening at Sylvia Theater, and in a couple of nice bar/restaurants downtown...York is beginning to take on a life of it's own...
Ah but there is something to be said for the old neighborhoods up in Catawba City proper...I am told that Tavern on Park is a fine place to find repast and good company, we'll find out on two Thursdays in March...come on out and let's see...
I will also be keeping one foot in the honky tonks in the company of the Loose Lugnuts...if you are looking for a rowdy good time come see these boys...they'd be pretty good if they got serious about things, but apparently no danger of that happening just yet...
Also, look for more news soon on plans for release of my new CD "The Man That I Can't Be" produced by Mark Lynch, and future band dates in support of that release.
Drop us a line, stay in touch....BN
