Hear Short Tales & Tall Songs from David Olney @ the SOUTHERN FESTIVAL OF BOOKS in Nashville!

"Olney writes unique story songs, often with an unsparing world view, and can BELT 'EM OUT LIKE A MAN POSSESSED, though he's just as likely tobe subtle or funny." -- The Star Tribune, Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN

Most folks know DAVID OLNEY as a legendary folk-blues singer-songwriter, live performer and recording artist. But his storytelling is boundless -- in 2009, David became a published author with "A Sign From God" featured in the release of “Amplified: Fiction From Leading Alt-Country, Indy Rock, Blues and Folk Musicians” (Melville House).

David also “published” a classic tale about St. Louis Cardinals Hall Of Fame pitcher Jay Hanna "Dizzy" Dean with the ITunes release of  "OL' DIZ: A MUSICAL BASEBALL STORY," recorded with hit songwriter and original Smothers Brothers comedy writer/contributor John Hadley. The album is based on the play by actor/former Congressman Ben Jones (Cooter on TV's "Dukes of Hazzard).

And telling a visual “story” on YouTube.com, David posted a seven-part video post of "THE RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER" written by Samuel Taylor Coleridge this summer. (
