Current mood:PARTY!
Ok, so everyone has been asking for us to post the lyrics to the new Album. So, starting today and once every following week we will post the lyrics to a song from  "El Monstruo".

Enjoy!

STUPID INTRUDERS

Stupid intruders came and ruined an empty space
I don't know why I bother fronting a nice face,
it's fake
I took a test and found out things that I knew before
It's all genetic that I find you a huge bore

I won't pretend it's not a meat locker in this place
The stink is massive and it waters my eyes like mace
You need to read more and then maybe you'll be okay
But that's just science being dumb

Sitting on a chaise I'm catching information on this
stupid place
Maybe in another life I fought a war and had a hundred
wives
It’s not easy, they say it’s easy but I’d rather be stuck and roasted
I know that would please me
You don’t see me, you think you see me
But I’m rabid and hibernating
Simultaneously

Who are you to give me tips on me?
You don’t know me
And that’s the problem

A filthy breeder came and ruined an empty space
The things I say don’t really mean that much
I guess that’s okay
I took a train and saw a place I had been before
I saw the stars and ice and blades and a dead horse
I won’t pretend it’s not a meat locker in this place
I read the book I know the movie won’t be the same
How can a story fit inside such a tiny space
I know that metaphor was dumb

Drew Kolar

hooray! now i can sing along and not feel dumb. :)
also... i swore "fronting a nice face" was "fronting on myspace." so... glad you cleared that up.

YES! Now I don't have to do that awkward make-mumble-noises-instead-of-actual-words singing thing that you do when you can't make out a lyric.

two kudos! yes, both of them.

MEDIA ROOM, 695 CAMBIE STREET, VANCOUVER, OCTOBER 24TH Vancouver Bands That Rock! Posted by soultrance on Friday, September 1, 2006 at 12:05 am The Vincent Black Shadow - TVBS is one of my favorite Vancouver Bands and is luckily getting some well deserved attention. The group was signed to a record deal fairly recently and very recently released their debut album, entitle “Fears In The Water”. They have also been touring with the Warped Tour for the past few months and now, having finished that tour, are going to tour Germany. The Vincent Black Shadow consists of beautiful lead singer Cassandra Ford, Robbie Kirkham (guitar), Anthony Kirkham (Drums), Chris Kirkham (Bass) and Mary Ancheta (Keyboards). Their music is rock through and through, and real rock, not the crap they call rock on the radio now-a-days. Check out The Vincent Black Shadow’s site and MySpace Page. and of course, I wouldn’t be able to mention Vancouver bands without mentioning my all time favorite Vancouver based band… Nim Vind (formerly known as Mr. Underhill) - Nim Vind, a.k.a Mr. Underhill, a.k.a Chris Kirkham (yeah, same guy from TVBS, and his brothers are in this band too), is a fantastic singer, wicked guitar and bass player and quite well known in the Vancouver scene. Nim is a goth rock crooner at the very best with the sexy voice to boot. The band is fantastic live, wicked on Vinyl and just great in general. Most recently Nim Vind toured Germany and released their first full-length album entitled “Fashion of Fear” and it’s great. If you enjoy psychobilly, rockabilly, goth rock inspired crooning you will LOVE Nim Vind. At the very least, give their music a listen and, if possible, check them out live, it’s worth every penny. And if you like the music, buy the CD/Record or some gear to help fund this wicked project. I picked up the Vinyl for Fashion of Fear at their last Vancouver show at the Media Club and I love it. Check out the Nim Vind site and their MySpace Page. That’s that for this round of rockin’ Vancouver Bands
