DOLORES O'RIORDAN

The former singer of the 40 million selling Cranberries has concocted an absolute belter of a comeback with this 12 track offering out May 7th. The album will be preceded by one week by the lead track 'Ordinary Day' out on April 30th.

GARY NUMAN
THE COMPLETE JOHN PEEL SESSIONS
The Complete Peel Sessions represents the two peaks of Numan's career with a pair of sessions recorded in 1979 - 'Me! I Disconnect From You' 'Down In The Park' and 'I Nearly Married A Human' recorded on 10th January and a session from 29th May featuring 'Cars'
The first Peel session took place three months before the release of Replicas the second Tubeway Army album. Fans will remember the LP's sinister sleeve with Numan - bleached blonde and in suitably robotic black garb - standing poised before a window at night-time illuminated starkly by a light bulb. The starkness of the image was reflected in the music on the album of which the three songs recorded for Peel are obvious standouts. The second session

CARLA BRUNI
NO PROMISES
Her new release 'No Promises' is a quietly triumphant gem. An album that celebrates the lyricism of a round table's worth of English language poets in eleven songs. That highlights the exemplary musicianship and creative vision of Bruni and her producer/collaborator ex-Telephone guitarist Louis Bertignac. From the harmonica-fuelled interpretation of WB Yeat's 'These Dancing Days Are Gone' ('I carry the sun in a golden cup/the moon in a silver bag' runs the beautifully annunciated refrain) to the chiaroscuro take on W.H Auden's 'Lady Weeping At The Crossroads' and the rocking version of Emily Dickinson's 'I Felt My Life With Both Hands' American or British 19th or 20th Century - would have granted Bruni their blessing.

THE FALL OF TROY
MANIPULATOR
There comes a time in every artist's life when the present becomes the past and the future begins to take shape. For The Fall Of Troy, that moment is eternal.
For the last four years, the ever progressive band from the suburbs of Seattle has been leading the campaign to push beyond all boundaries and extend their musical prowess into another realm. At 17 years old, the band released (and sold) a thousand copies of The Fall Of Troy - a ten song album that rapidly made the rounds on the internet, garnering an immeasurable number of awestruck fans. By 19, the now seasoned musicians released a more accurate portrayal of their skill in the form of Doppelganger, a pristine recording that overflows with vocal and instrumental hooks and went on to sell over 45000 copies in the US.
Now with all three members at the tender age of 21, The Fall Of Troy's new album Manipulator, is their future. Having built upon the band's reputation for lightning fast guitar riffs, raw screams, catchy choruses, and a volatile rhythm section, Manipulator finds the Fall Of Troy combining metal with progressive rock with blues, and past with present to once again push themselves beyond. The heavy parts are heavier, the poppy parts are poppier and the overall dynamics make the album impossible to classify.

DETROIT COBRAS
TRIED AND TRUE
Untrained and undisciplined (and how!), Rachel started out by belting revved-up rock yowlers and has grown into the gen-u-ine gutsy, vulnerable, delicate and commanding soul-on-the-edge singer.
She effortlessly glides from R&B sass, to girl group pathos to kitten-with-a-whip toughness with a snap of her chipped fingernails.
Longtime musical partner in crime, guitarist Mary Ramirez keeps the DE-troit Motor City in the Cobras with her car body shop wallop, greasy rock 'n soul rhythms and a bold grasp of old school, big room arrangements.
Stretching out in the studio like never before, and including contributions from top line players like Greg Cartwright (Reigning Sound) the Cobras have created a versatile and formidable wall of Spector sound (is that timpani you're hearing here and there? Yer goddam right it is). Be it eerie or orchestral, or pure rock and roll rough up, 'Tied & True' puts the Cobras on a whole new level-of many sources but a genus all its own.

LAVENDER DIAMOND
IMAGINE OUR LOVE
Lavender Diamond release their debut album 'Imagine Our Love' on May 7th - an album comprised of pristine pocket symphonies that combine the best of the early '70s Brit-folk boom with gorgeous arrangements and an overwhelming sense of sheer heartbroken wonder.
Lavender Diamond is Becky Stark and her band. A one-time flatmate of Jenny Lewis and long time friend of Devendra Banhart (with whom she's shared a couple of split vinyl singles in the US), Becky grew up in rural Maryland and first experienced music at church. But for the Starks, music was a religion of it's own too. "My mum had a lot of old '45s and on Sunday mornings instead of going to church we would all sit round and she'd make us learn all the lyrics to the songs".
Inspired as a teenager by the nearby Washington DC punk community. This was a significant catalyst in the development of what was to become Lavender Diamond.

SAGE FRANCIS
HUMAN THE DEATH DANCE
Rapper, activist, and cultural provocateur Sage Francis offers his most personal and fully realized work on Human The Death Dance, his second Anti/Epitaph release. With topics ranging from 9-to-5 cubicle madness to addiction to sex and hip hop, Francis delves into very real issues with wit and intensity. On moving tracks like "Hell Of A Year", "Woke Up This Morning" and "Keep Moving," Sage examines broken relationships with a brutal honesty reminiscent of Dylan's Blood On The Tracks. Hailing from Providence RI, Sage has a unique place in hip hop history, building a huge fanbase through tireless grassroots self promotion, as chronicled in the CD opener "Undergound for Dummies." Equally comfortable in rap battle or a poetry slam, Francis will hit the road later this year to support Human The Death Dance.
His fusing of tough hip hop beats, rock dynamics and moody soundscaping reveals him as a combined Eminem, Rage Against The machine and DJ Shadow

Malajube Trompe De L'Oeil
One of the most anticipated bands at this year's SXSW – the band travelled straight from Austin to France to support Arcade Fire at the band's personal request for their European tour. Naturally this band already rules in their Quebecoise hometown of Montréal, but very unnaturally (for a French speaking act) - they were nominated for three Juno's (Canadian Brits) including best alternative album. This is a collection of songs that take the boldest of turns, What underpins all of this – and perhaps epitomises Malajube's sound - is a masterful grasp of original and more often than not, beautiful melodies
Ade Fenton Artificial Perfect Artist/DJ/producer Ade Fenton and Gary Numan have collaborated this new album 'Artificial Perfect'. This albums has drawn comparisons to Cabaret Voltaire, Nine Inch Nails, Motor, Aphex Twin and Front 242. Press includes - DJ Magazine (2 page interview), Music Mart, Rock Sound, Metal Hammer, Q, Classic Rock and I-DJ. Interviews with Gary and Ade on Radio One and a session with Janice Long on Radio Two will promote the album alongside spot plays on XFM Total Rock and Kerrang radio.

Rufige Kru 'Malice In Wonderland'
Drum & Bass
For Goldie, using his Rufige Kru moniker is going back to his roots, his first ever recording alias was used on a series of seminal jungle/drum & bass releases on Reinforced Records and pitched him to the top of the growing scene to the point of singing his Metalheadz project to London Records and the release of the classic 'Timeless' project.
Rufige Kru's hitlist consists of such memorable moments as 'Darkrider', 'Terminator' (in itself a defining and scene changing moment) and 'Kemistry', and for Metalheadz; 'Dark Metal' and 'Beachdrifta'.
So to 'Malice in Wonderland', the debut Rufige album and the labels debut artist album, and its all about
recapturing the essence of the early scene but with the modern technology, a deep, dark, uncompromising ride across the memory traces.

Alias 'The Collected Remixes'
Electronic/Leftfield/Hip Hop
Very impressive hand-picked collection of Alias' greatest work as a remix artist. All tracks are super-rare, out of print or unreleased. Included are remixes for Lucky Pierre, Lali Puna, John Vanderslice, Sixtoo, Christ and more.
lThe whole collection of tracks plays like an album, each song the proud new owner of the Alias trademark: that alternately searing and frostbitten production, reverberating and crunchy, built of considered keystrokes, finely cut
click'n' pop, guitar pickings, and drum machine ballistics.

Windmill
'Puddle City Racing Lights'
Epic Psychedelic Folk-Pop
Already being hailed as the UK's answer to Arcade Fire, Windmill - aka 26-year old Matthew Thomas Dillon - is
emerging as one of the country's best singer- songwriters, his music a heady distillation of US indie, early '70s
melancholia and twisted folk-pop.
Now available on vinyl, limited to 500 only.
- THE GUARDIAN 4/5: "Although his music is timeless and graceful, 26 year old Mathew Thomas Dillon is in thrall to modern American indie. The boy from Buckinghamshire treads the same ground as Mercury Rev and Arcade Fire, but his style is utterly his own."
- THE TIMES 4/5: "Think Mercury Rev making a break-up album."
- NME 7/10: "Star-swept piano-led alt. indie, like The Polyphonic Spree, Mercury Rev, Guided By Voices and The Flaming Lips all joining the same grief therapy group."
- NME: "Freakoid Americana that sounds like a lost Mercury Rev or Grandaddy album. Not bad for a one-man band from Newport Pagnell."
- FLUX MAG: "Don't be fooled into thinking that a finer album will be released this year. This one man genius hails from Newport Pagnell, and this, his debut album is a mesmerising, multi-layered work to be studied. Each track builds to an Arcade Fire-esque melodic orgasm. This is deriously addictive with every track a winner."
- UNCUT: "Dillon might be a great British eccentric in the making."
- CLASH: "If Wayne Coyne and Conor Oberst defied nature and had an introverted child , raised on equal
measures of Neil Young and Heartbreak, this would be the sound of his debut album."
- MOJO: "A bordeline brilliant sense of emotional dynamics."
- COW & FIELD: "Ladies and gentlemen, please stand for the first truly great record of 2007."

Survival 'The Jam/Ion 2'
Drum & Bass
Survival, who is on a bit of a roll at the moment with releases having been out on Shogun, Exit, Play Musik and
DNAudio, gets pulled in to kick off the new A.I. label, Integral - a sister project to Widescreen.
'The Jam' brings to mind the vintage Good Looking days with a conga-led intro overlaid with warm pads and muted trumpet, dropping into a rolling groove with jazzed out licks and a tribalistic feel.
'Ion 2' moves in with an atmospheric soundscape that has a faint western feel, a serious journey of a tune.

THE CINEMATIC ORCHESTRA
MA FLEUR NINJA
Dealing with themes of loss and love - 'Ma Fleur' is fertile ground for Swinscoe's brand of music-making, for while people have talked about what he does in terms of jazz, the truth is that the basis of his music has always been in raw emotion. From the achingly beautiful opener 'To Build A Home' to the finale, 'Time And Space', this is an album which reaches for and finds a truth and honesty far beyond what we would normally expect from such a record, but without losing any of the accessibility which made TCO popular in the first place. If the mood is melancholy, Swinscoe and the musicians he works with manage to make it an ultimately uplifting experience, perhaps in the end more about the love you find than the love you lose.

ARMAND VAN HELDEN
GHETTOBLASTER
The buzz around the new Armand Van Helden material right now is incredible – 'Touch Your Toes' featuring Fat Joe and BL got a limited release late in 2006 and demand has carried through until now and is showing no signs of slowing. Meanwhile, the first single proper to be taken from the album, 'NYC Beat', has just been mailed out and the DJ reactions have been incredible, whilst the radio response has been nothing short of massive, with all of the key specialists (Zane Lowe, Pete Tong, Annie Mac) fully on board and the daytime radio producers requesting copies now.
The biggest singles from the album are yet to come – 'I Want Your Soul' and 'Je T'aime' have hit written all over them.

THE SEA AND CAKE
EVERYBODY
The Sea and Cake are back with 'Everybody', the band's first full length in over four years. The record finds the band continuing to perfect their singular brand of dreamlike, hot-buttered pop music that sounds delicately handcrafted, yet effortless all the same. Sheets of glowing guitar tones skip along propulsive percussion underscored by gently funky, introspective basslines, all adorned by breathlessly delivered lines of lyrical poetry.
The band moves away from their standard sound on a number of tracks here, including the jittery 'Exact to Me' with its percussive guitar lines blending African highlife and rocksteady rhythms, and on the intimately spare 'Lightning', a song that went through several rewrites and, in the process, revealed the title of the album. "It was such a hard won battle, I don't think most tunes would have stood up to such abuse." The result is a hauntingly simplified song that serves as a fine centerpiece on this sprawling album. ?For the first time in their 14 year career since their 1993 self-titled debut, the band has enlisted the recording efforts of someone other than McEntire, this time calling on the talents of Brian Paulson, a producer with a miles-long resume that includes work with Slint, Wilco, and TJ's own Angela Desveaux, among hundreds of others.
The band plans to tour in support of this record, and has a few festival appearances in the works for the summer months. The Sea and Cake have made a record for Everybody.

HELP SHE CAN'T SWIM
THE DEATH OF NIGHTLIFE
The band, based in Southampton and Brighton released their debut album, 'Fashionista Super Dance Troupe' to much acclaim, while still at school. Help She Cant Swim have recently supported The Blood Brothers and CSS. They have announced details of their own headlining shows throughout April and May. The CD album will be available with a 4 track bonus disc – the 'Committing Social Suicide EP', which was previously only available on vinyl.

!!!
MUST BE THE MOON WARP
'Must Be The Moon' is the next 'interlude' in the series of 'myths' from !!!'s latest album, 'Myth Takes'. Featuring remixes from Hot Chip and Emperor Machine.
The live slayer and dancefloor favourite 'Must Be The Moon' is all about sex. A universal anthem for teenagers across the country in pursuit of some action on a Friday night - the story of a guy getting lucky in a club after a skinful and going home with the good-time girl of his wildest fantasies. CSS are rumoured to be working on an 'answer song' from the female's point of view, like Frankee's 'Fu*k You Right Back' (which topped the charts) in answer to Eamon's 'Fu*k It (I Don't Want You Back)'. In the meantime Hot Chip & Emperor Machine have respectively beefed up and stripped down the track and it's raising hell on dancefloors across the land. There's an intoxicating Kenneth Anger / 'Performance' inspired video by up and coming director, Ben Dickenson whose recent output has included LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture and more

THE CINEMATIC ORCHESTRA
MA FLEUR NINJA
Shortly after releasing 'Everyday', which achieved great critical and commercial success (selling over 100,000 units) Jason Swinscoe relocated from East London to Paris. Here he began work on the instrumentals which would form the basis of his new record. Having completed a rough version by early 2005, he gave this to a friend who disappeared for 3 weeks and came back with short story scripts in which each scene represented a story of a different time in life, expressing the emotions which underpin the journey from birth to death. Jason then took this and worked some more on the tracks, and in turn gave this back to his scriptwriter, the two aspects of the project developing alongside one another.
Gradually, Swinscoe recruited suitable vocalists for the atmospheres and themes he wanted to deal with. The remarkable Fontella Bass is the woman behind both legendary soul number 'Rescue Me' as well as some of the Art Ensemble of Chicago's finest moments, had worked on 'Everyday' and was an obvious choice to voice the parts of the elderly protagonist that Swinscoe envisaged. Mercury-nominated Lou Rhodes is not only a fantastic singer but a young mother and so perfect for the "mid-life" singer. The as-yet unheralded Patrick Watson, a remarkable vocalist from Montreal, became the youngest of the trio.
'Ma Fleur' is available on limited edition CD and vinyl (in rigid box sleeves each with 12 x card inserts, the vinyl being heavyweight vinyl), and standard CD.
