Who Gives Kudos:

Monday, July 16, 2007

I don't write poetry to make middle to over aged,

middle to upper class people chuckle

I don't write poetry so that overly to under

educated young 'urban' kids can lick imaginary shots to

I don't write poetry to make eager vixens show me their

variously fabricated matching sets

I don't write poetry to make groups of people

whether demographically compatible or not, vex

I try very hard not to over emphasise or bring great glory to

illicit trysts or unmarital sex

I don't drop to over-elaborated beats or spit hype of beef

so that you forget my words when bobbing ur head

I write poetry for me, the lucky she and the Glory, goes to He

Of whom I'd love to be and stay in His circle and favour

Who is He?

My Lord, my God, my Saviour

Let me know why you write and be honest!!

I write because I can..
I write to release..
I write because the world is mad..
and im looking a little peace!
I write because I can.
I write to show my hand,
make my stand,
nailing colours to the mast,
I write because I gotta express,
Gotta write it down,
get it out or be perpetually vexed.
I write because I love words,
I love communication,
I write because
The gift of language is so wasted on us humans,
and if animals got linguistic,
they would reveal the truth in the mystic,
I write because something moves me,
And the words dont go away,
Keep me awake til they're released from my mind,
like butterflies landing on flowers of purple,
Something more beautiful is forming
I write to share a story,
Or a lesson I have learned,
I write because God blessed me,
With a passion for adjectives, nouns and verbs!

Honest

'I write because..
Sometimes I feel like I don't have a choice,
Like if I were to stop writing...
I might lose my voice.'

I write poetry because it is the only way I can really express myself.
I don't need to be perfect on an specific language to show my feelings and to write about them, sometimes is a question of chosing the right sounds, the right words, to bring the world closer to my soul.

Thanks for your poem
