Current mood:  annoyed
Many producers have a signature sound or specific thing with there beats u can automatically  tell who it is without a tracklisting. Whether its from sound efxs to chord progressions the list goes on & on. I notice alot of cats takin from the homies, and even myself as well which all good, but dont think I dont notice that shit. Everyone knows the signature D.B. FLIP (coined by 14kt) lol ,and thats the multiple sequence change up, and its not 2 or 3 seperate beats for the record. Its all the same sample chopped up same tempo i have it down to a science. Dont try using my own tricks on me in these battles it will backfire on u. Im startin to see alot of that formula in battle now a days which is quite amusing. When alot of these  doods was on some 4 bar loop shit now they come with the change up @ 45 second mark , but it dont even link up right. I should start a seminar on that shit.lol. Well the masses know who originated what so I dont worry about it at all. Im sure this blog will offend some heads with a guilty concicous cause they only pay attention to conterversy ,and ignore everything informative.lol Since i got ur attention now I decided to throw some promotion in here while yall readin this.lol  MARKETIN KID !!!

When other people start to get influenced from your style you know you are on to something. I'd say be the Jedi Master of your style and keep coming with that head bangin shit!

I should help you create a crazy some online marketing w/ videos of all the stuff you do.

People just don't know! If Dilla was still alive he'd flip out if he heard some of your beats!

maybe on a battling level...lol, yeah some may immulate what the next does for an edge.  i wouldn't put it pass some people to do it out of sarcasm...like "ha, I know your next move."

but on a regular creating level, I don't hear a whoole lot of originators, which may even include myself.  While great number of beatmakers focus on effects and synths (which some, i happen to like but could easily label it a Dilla sound), I've kept it a certain way for my own preference...but won't say I'm the first to do it.

There are many people who have different sounds but only the true originators i'll label as unique.

we all know of the musicians that have thier sounds used on a daily basis.  A high level of respect to them for being able to ear the replication and to remain focused.

Plus a high level of respect to anyone making sounds for listeners/writers/music enthusist to vibe to...

Shit. I aint lying! I'm influenced by peoples styles. I take alot of things from other producers.
All you those that say you don't! your fucking lying!lol.

I just try to put my style to it!

I can honestly say Dibi that. I use to quantize my drums. After i heard you and Samiyam. I gave more swing to my drums. Thank you guys for that.

DB- The thing is by the time copy cats come forth the originator is on to the next thing. Knowing your style no doubt the next shit is even pushing things that much further. Keep rocking, I cant lie when I say your whole camp has my ear. Cheers. DS3K

I wouldn't say I bite your shit.If my shit comes close though and someone tells me I sound remotely close to you, well, gotta love it. Your style is blessed in a world where all we have to look up to is some of these original artistic minds showing new shit. Much respect. Your #1 biter fan! Peace.
