In the Silence

Dancing with you in the heat of night
Your eyes quiet messengers of dreams
Reaching beyond beating hearts plight
Silent gift you share, love supreme

Your eyes quiet messengers of dreams
No need for words, my souls delight
Silent gift you share, love supreme
Gentle brush of lips, tasting your light

No need for words, my souls delight
Luna serenades, while fate unites
Gentle brush of lips, tasting your light
Inhale your magic, soaring , sure flight

Luna serenades, while fate unites
Eternal flame, unbreakable might
Inhale your magic, soaring , sure flight
Dancing with you in the heat of night

David

The moon broke through
The shredding clouds,
Lifting its cape,
Its dull gray shroud,
Revealed us on the stones
Romancing,
I held you close,
You stumbled, dancing;

Why must you wear
Those clunky shoes,
I taste your lips,
Your tongue intrudes;
Your heel steps on
My sandaled toe,
You move too fast,
You move too slow;

Is it because
You are so short,
That to these high heels
You ressort;
Or is it because
I am so tall;
Your clunky shoes
Make us fall.

They aren't sexy
They aren't smart,
I step forward,
Your knees do part;
I spin you out
And then around,
I find us lying
On the ground;

Why not flats
My little munchkin?
Don't wear those clodhoppers
To the luncheon,
Lest when standing
At the buffet,
You trip and fall
Into your tray.

This is excellent~ sultry~spiritual~ spatial! I have seen Pantuom around, but have gotten away form for myself so I had to look it up... WOW! That looked hard! I was sitting there with my eyes blurring! This is such a special poem then to have to jump through all those hoops and still be able to come up with an amazing piece as this! AWE! I understand it was a thing you wanted to try adn I may give it a go myself...but above all...the emotion is the major part of poetry....and this poem....is hooooops above the form!!!!

There's still a line I need to changed, but well...my first pantoum attempt finally done.
Next a sestina maybe.
Love ya. Glad you're back and had fun.

You did it!!!!!!!!!!!, WOOT!, this is AMAZING.

I can't believe I didn't see this before now, but it doesn't surprise me that it turned out such a romantic tale, perfectly written, nor that this was never beyond your talent. Well done, Ms Elly, you outdo yourself in every aspect with this awesome offering, the best pantoum I have read to date.

hugs
Mxx
