There's only two performances left for this year - one private and the other VERY public at the Red Dragon in Baton Rouge - a premiere for the new album, The Longing.  We're excited about both, but the Red Dragon is a place with its own charms and accomplishments.  We've had great crowds when playing there before and very touching experiences, so it's artistically very rewarding. That will be December 4th at 8 p.m.

BUT - there are so many interesting projects on my desk and the three of us and David Praet are deciding what we want to do next.  First, there are unfinished tracks pulled from The Longing - four actually - that are very up-tempo and fun and as always some new songs we're dying to bring to life.  Then, there's the next book in the series - The Green Grove - Scottish children's tales Jan and I wrote for our Margaret while she was growing up. Jan's finishing her edit and I've got to get the illustrations brother Joel did scanned in and ready so it can go to press.

There's also the potential for a collection of Scottish traditional songs pulled from 6 of our past albums, revisited and remixed - sort of the companion to 20420.  It will include all of those favorite traditional songs we get asked so much for - The Silkie, Fear A bhata, An Coineachan, Glenlogie, All around My Hat and more - all on one disc.

Then there is the live album possibility, the table-top collection of photos from four decades of musical adventures, the other book of tales.... O, if only the money were there to do them all....but it looks like the cookie jar is empty for now, so they are all just wishes at this state.  But that's how we fill the time...that and watching the raindrops fall...

Peace to all....dbs
