I haven't updated this for a while because I have been stupid busy but things have been challenging for me lately because I am working on several different projects at one time and it seems like the people that I am working with on various things aren't as motivated as I am. In looking at my situation I have discovered that people want the success of people like Donald Trump, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and even Oprah but they don't want to pay the price to get it. If your goal is to be financially wealthy then your not going to be able to come home after only working 9 to 5 with a one hour lunch and watch Seinfeld, order some pizza and fall asleep on the couch! If you have a day job then you are probably going to have to get off work and go right back to work on whatever it is that you want to do. That will usually mean working very late nights and not getting enough sleep. Some people can't go on very little sleep so that takes them out of the game. Don't get me wrong.......I am as guilty as the next guy of being lazy in my past but I also got tired of not seeing my goals get accomplished. I realized the weakest link in my "master plan" was me and my lazy attitude. Now people around me always ask......"Richard, how do you find the time to get so much done?" I tell them that while they are sleeping I am making my dreams to come to life! We have the ability to dream because without a dream some of us may just wander through life with no aim. Achieving your dreams makes life so much more fulfilling and once you get to one milestone it gives you even more creative fuel to accomplish the next task. As young people we need to realize that time is without a doubt our most precious commodity and that if we don't utilize it to our advantage then we will be standing around wondering what happened. I refuse to fall into that category. I refuse to lose. I am an avid reader. I love to read books by or about people who have accomplished more than I have. I figure that maybe I can absorb something to help me. Anyway......I have been reading the music mogul Kevin Liles' new book and he touches on alot of these same issues in the text. Check the link below to read an excerp. I am not doing this to hype his book, it's not like he is gonna cut me a check for it but I sometimes get concerned about the future because as young people we seem to lose focus easily. It's easy to do now too because there are so many companies with so many products trying to get our attention. I am outta here for now....thanks for checking my little blurb. Remember to trust God and trust yourself and you will never go wrong. Peace to you and yours..............RA
here is a link to that excerp I was referring to.....
