although i didnt get to see everyone i wanted to see, i had a pretty good time. my favorites were the preservation hall jazz band (the tuba player and some of the older men in the band led a conga line for all the drunk frat & indie kids), ben folds (though he did the same set as in knoxville), seu jorge (though i couldn't understand a word), and the refugee allstars of sierre leone (cause i got all the way up front in only a few minutes). we also saw matisyahu, damien marley, a little bit of radiohead, beck, & tom petty. amazingly the bigger names weren't my top picks though good. i heard that devotchka, g love & special sauce, and amadou & miriam were good too but unfortunately missed them.
mushrooms made me laugh and sick and pot was just like always but those heady rice crispies and brownies were delicious. i got a really nice tan/burn on my shoulders and arms. and thank goodness the dreadlock i was developing washed out with the dirt.
mike's friends were really nice and funny, and i got to hang out with my brother and eat his gange cookies.
all in all a good time and maybe i'll go again next year with mike.
