So ladies and gentleman eagerly awaiting news from the tour, here we are.

Where should I start? Well so far we are six days in and everything is smooth.

After being home in Boulder from the Telluride bluegrass festival for a mere 24 hours we hit the road to on Wed. 6/25 headed east for 9 hours to Lawrence, KS. Upon arriving, the venue "the Gaslight Tavern" appeared to be closed. After some snooping around we discovered that it just hadn't opened yet, phew.  After practicing outside with the lightning bugs we played with a local Lawrence band "JR and the Juniors" and had a great time. The only downfall was that the humidity and heat in Lawrence put quite a damper on our sleep for the night. We averaged about 3 hours of sleep a piece that night.

6/26 we left Lawrence to go to St. Louis. The ride from KS to MO was pretty. Once we got to St. Louis we managed to get lost for about an hour until we found the venue "Pop's Blue Moon". Pop's was located in the Italian neighborhood of St. Louis. After unsuccessfully looking for a hotel, and running a red light, we ate italian food and looked for Al Capone. He wasn't there.  We played with a local St. Louis bluegrass band "KC and the Barbers". We drank free PBR all night , and tried to hold our eyes open. Another one bites the dust.

6/27 we were off to Nashville. Everyone was pretty excited to go to "Music City". The 5 hour drive flew by, and before we knew it we were looking over the Nashville skyline. The venue "Windows off the Cumberland" was a standard dive bar, just how we like 'em. After going downtown and picking up some hot country licks, visiting the famous Tubb's records, and checking out the mile long line awaiting the Insance Clown Possy show, we went and checked out the opener Angel Snow. She sang us some pretty songs before we went up and played out the night to a total of four customers. Don't feel bad for us though, because apparently Drew Emmit played there a few months ago to an audience of 18. Nice.

6/28 we embarked on the 9 hour drive to St. Simon's Island Georgia where Kyle grew up. Now ( 6/30) here we hang for a total of 7days. Visiting the beach, sleeping in our own bed's, eating well, riding bikes, and managing to play gigs too. We played the first gig last night 6/29 at Gnat's landing with our friends "Sexual Chocolate". Good stuff. We are living in paradise for a week, and we just got back from boogie boarding at the beach.

So that brings us up to date. More to come. Stay tuned!
