Hi folks,
It's time we gave you the lowdown on what's been going on with The Mellotones. The most important news is Jaap Lagerweij, our second guitarist, has left the band. We thank 'Skimpy J' for his three years of service and wish him all the best in the future. He now rocks his guts out with partycountryband The Lowlanders.
 Taking his place is none other than Ruben Klabbers, who was with us from 2003 till 2005. We welcome Ruben back in the band! With his addition we have once again returned to our trademark blend of blues and blues-based psychedelic rock. Besides stuff from our latest album 'Not The Same', we will return to the thunderous shuffles and tunes from our earlier work. Remember How Long? Don't Raise Their Kids? Can't Win For Losin'? That's right! After a short period of rehearsing we will be onstage for y'all.
 Our recent short UK tour bore witness of this and it feels like a homecoming, not just to return to England but also do it with Ruubz handling his newly purchased Telecaster and doing backup vocals. It was a blast and the Guinness tasted great, as always! We'll see y'all soon.
