Who Gives Kudos:

Sunday, September 02, 2007
I should be in bed..but I can't sleep just yet. I am thinking about all my gigs for this coming week..order of sets and trying to not worry about whether or not charlie will actually get me there. He was making a funny noise yesterday..or maybe he was just sneezing..

Little k and I sat in a cafe today for a long time reading the papers. Looking at the pictures and avoiding the politics. Just for today..tomorrow I will inform myself of the goings on of the world..but today I needed softer edges. No sharp corners. Sometimes I feel as though the newspapers are shouting at me from their stands. "Read me!" They yell. "Cover to cover, or else you will be ignorant!" I wonder how many people buy newspapers just to play Sudoku.

We sat outside in jumpers..the girl next to us had a cardigan with all the colours of the rainbow knitted into it. Autumn is my favourite season and he is creeping up on me slowly..I'll welcome him in with apple crumble. And custard, if I have any..

how lovely to have you talk of welcoming Autumn. I usually dread it but will now think of your apple crumble and smile. Thank you for making me think of it differently

My favourite season too, it seems to be starting early...which may or may not be a good thing.

Apple Crumble...with custard oh yes - or even better Blackberry and Apple Crumble with custard.
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness - how I love him.

All the best with the gigs this week, let's hope Charlie only has a head cold...*g*

Hi, I know exactly what you mean, I'm never sure what's real in the papers, but always seems gloomy, My Mum always makes sure to tell me the doom, she says ' did you read in the paper?' I say ( everytime) 'mum I don't buy a paper, its depressing' she continues to tell me. I love her.

Made princess cakes with Jessica the weekend, and pushed her 'higher higher' in her swing, she said she could nearly touch the clouds, and spoke about the sun breaking through, she said she loves rainbows and all the lovely colours, she said she loves me, nice to be loved alongside a rainbow. Jessica's my granddaughter, shes 3 and makes a lot of sense. I love her too, and of course her liitle sister Alice who is 6 mths and far to young to speak about rainbows and princess cakes, but its all in there, waiting to burst out!

Sunday was the last day of Jane's long summer school holiday, so we had to do something special. We went to the coast and walked Max through the woods near by, then picked blackberries. They were perfect, not so ripe that they squashed when picked, but still overflowing with heady scent. We had blackberry and apple crumble that night made with apples from our own tree and a lot of joy - it was heavenly and we ended the day with a happy smile. Blackberries were just what we needed to enjoy the end of Summer.

Hi there!
Many people open newspapers only for horoscope.
this summer I was only solving crosswords.and I don't even watch television only because of politics.
when your life depends on it (politics) for more than 15 years, you really get tired of it.
The town I was born was destroyed in a war.and then many years of changes, this and that, and then you get tired, and say hold on,I create reallity for myself...
That was something about sudoku...

I love the fall! the wind the rain the colors! It is awsome! :)
And sometimes, all you wanna read in the paper are the cartoons. Sometimes it is good to skip the dose of reality ;)
