Outlands is to be launched this week!

Fred and the band will be playing some dates in Scotland and Spain. Details below:

Outlands Launch Tour:

Tuesday 3rd November, 7.30pm, Brunton Theatre, Musselburgh, Box Office: 0131 665 2240

Wednesday 4th November: 4.30pm: Fred and the band will be playing a short set and CD signing at the marvellous Coda Music shop on the Mound in Edinburgh. Sure to be a great atmosphere and a good taster for the concert later that evening at the Edinburgh Folk Club.

Thursday 5th November, 7pm, ALBUM LAUNCH, The Piping Centre, Glasgow. Fred and the band will be playing material from the album.

Saturday 7th November, Festival el Joyu, Coo de Buena, Cantabria, Spain

Radio:

Fred will feature on a number of radio programmes this week. His music has been playing on internet radio station Planetpipe for the past few days. You can submit a question for Fred by visiting the www.planetpipe.com site and clicking the link on the page. The questions will be answered by Fred in an interview format and his answers will be posted as a podcast later in the week.

On Thursday 12th November, Fred will be a guest on BBC Scotland's Travelling Folk with Archie Fisher. He'll be chatting about Outlands.

Other dates:
Celtic Connections Fred and the band will be headlining a special Showcase Scotland concert at the ABC in Glasgow on 28th January 2010. The concert will also feature the Old Blind Dogs, Alyth McCormack and The Shee.

Fred will then be heading for Seattle to teach at the Celtic Arts Foundation Winter School.

5th February, Benaroya Concert Hall, Seattle - Fred will be performing at this world class venue as part of the Mastery of Scottish Arts Concert: http://www.celticarts.org/index.php?page_id=62
