Hi,
Guests at the Shaw in the next month or so;
June 22nd - Double Headliner Jeni and Billy & Jenny and Dave
Jeni and Billy (USA)
Drawing from Traditional Country, Appalachian, Old-time, Country Blues, Bluegrass and Folk music to create their original songs, Jeni & Billy have crafted a unique sound that is truly their own.
Together, they will draw you into captivating narratives of heartache and hard living, of true life blues and unexpected grace. Images of coal & crowns, trash & trailers, and glass and gasoline recur, and Jesus and the Great Speckled Bird are never far off.

A real treat , 2/5ths of the goodtime washboard music bad St Louis Zipper, just back from their tour of Devon and Cornwall.

A night of first-class unaccompanied singing from 'Ull.
Hissyfit are a female duo from East Yorkshire singing their own songs based on the traditional values of English and Scottish folk music and the fishing heritage and cultural richness of the East Coast
Mick McGarry, from 'Punch the Horse'. Brilliant.
Also Coming up....
June 3rd
String Theory (me John and Dave) are at the Ring o Bells, Silkstone for a session, and will return there on the 2nd July doing a support slot for Dave Burland at the Two Villages Festival.
June 13th (a Saturday) - Front Room Folk organised by Ray Padgett
From Ray: "Jeff Wright of Keepers Fold fame started this occasional folk meeting using both existing folk venues and where there was need in peoples homes (front rooms) and occasional venues.
The idea is to continue to attract singers and pl,ayers from different areas to come together and get to know each other, where they would not normally.
The venues tend to stretch certainly into North Yorkshire and Dave and Marj [Fyrish] had one near Holmfirth a few months ago!"
