Welcome to my MySpace space, where I'm dipping my toe into the waters of social networking.

Thanks to Melody for suggesting that I look into it, and for the folks who have "friended" me so far.

If you've never heard Western Swing, you need to listen to that audio clip. "Three Guitar Special" is a great introduction to the Bob Wills sound and the genius of Eldon Shamblin, who co-wrote the song with Leon McAuliffe. Shamblin gets horn-like harmonies out of a trio of stringed instruments: his own guitar, Herb Remington's steel guitar, and Tiny Moore's mandolin. That's Bob Wills you hear calling out the solos.
