Oh the glorious contraversy.

Before i begin, i have to say, I choose to just write fast, and there may be numerous errors and poorly spelled words, but I just want ideas to flow.

so back to bodies...a current personal interest has been in my own body. let me explain, i love dancing, always have, and as of late (maybe inspired by my wonderful man) I have not only taken couple dance (tango) but other more personal(intimate) type of dances. i am slowly learning to love my body, the one I have, not the one I wish I had. He helps me, and dancing helps me, especially this dancing...

next topic (keeping theme as the primary inspiration for the blog) is art and freedom of expression, WTF!!! I mean are we really thinking we live in a god damn free society, yeah blogs are free expression, but come on, I can not allow a student to display a "nude drawing" at a community event? how prude is america, really??? for fuck's sake it is just a body, why are bodies so dirty? maybe camille paglia was onto something (i'm sure she was, but it's just my opinion). if the body was not so "dirty" in the eyes of the masses, if sexuality was embraced and acknowledged as a human need and desire and pleasure, we would not be in all this mess. no no, I need not hear a lecture on stds and all that stuff, i am simply saying that if we as a culture, rather then denying sexuality and humanity, accepted it, we may escape some of the aggressive bullshit and crudeness out there. let me say it this way, when it is taboo, it is crime, and crime once a crime is just that, if sexuality was not a crime, but if it is NOT consensual or desired, then it is wrong, but "cultural taboo" is a standard, not a moral. my own morals say, love those who love you and show it, for pete's sake. nakedness is not porn (and, if someone wants to be a porn star..so what) it is acceptance of flesh. the real problem is we don't love our own flesh enough. let us start a new revolution, love your flesh, love it! touch it, be proud of it, and in right company (or for art sake) flaunt it!!!
