The reason i posted this blog is i think there are a lot of talented producers out there but there are also a lot off arrogant ones (including me), we have all listened to a track on the tv or radio and thought i could do better then that!! which 9 times out of 10 is true we could. There is also the angle where you can hate on someones personality and like his or her beats and or music.

The thing now a days in modern hip hop or music as a whole is that there is more pressure on a producers then ever before!! because we are now becoming stars in our own right!! people will sometimes look for the producer first and the artist secound, not to mention what really sells a track now a days is the beat, some may argue that's always been the case, but i remember listening to tracks and listening out for the lyrics then deciding whether i liked the beat or not, basically artist carrying the song, but nowadays that is unheard of, how many times have u said or thought to your self this guy is shit but the beat is heavy? u got to strain to remember the last time u thought the song is great but the beat is rubbish. 9 times out of 10 that is because it is a new or emerging artist and that artist cannot afford big budget producers! if we took out every big name producer out there (dr dre, timbaland just blaze, kanye west, premier, neptunes etc) would the music suffer, or would there be new equally good up and coming producers? ready to fill that void? I personally think thats a shame, because u might be the next lyrical genius, but is u aint got the right production behind you or know how to choose the right beat for yourself your going no where in the industry which sucks!! big time!!

Some advise for future producers, producing just like everything esle in life takes time, dont be surprised if you dont get discoverd in 4 or 5 years or never at all, all the great producers of our modern age have been producing for years before they are discoverd!! and pleace forget the idea that timbaland and dr dre (or other producers) produce all these beats alone very few do beats all on there own without engineers and keyboard players etc, when u start making cash u stop getting your hands dirty, and start using your name as a brand, with u turning into some kind off project manager saying "well this works, and this doesn't work"

This is just my thoughts at the moment just want to know what other peps think
