I get a lot of emails asking about the Act material that myself and Claudia Brucken recorded for ZTT. Thought it might be useful to let anyone who's interested know that ZTT re-released the original Laughter, Tears and Rage some time back and it's available, very attractively priced too, at ZTT's shopping page.

For the completist, (you know who you are) ZTT also released a three CD collection of Act material which includes more tracks than you can possibly shake a stick at. All the mixes, all the b-sides, all the ones I forgot - it's got the lot and is available to buy on CD or download at the same link.

Act Anthology is wonderful!! I wasn't around to buy the original singles so this set was a dream come true! Amazing stuff!! Buy it now!!

hello dear Thomas,

just stopping by to tell you that Laughter, Tears & Rage is one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE albums and i want to give you and Claudia belated kudos for what you have achieved together as Act.

your music was clearly ahead of its time and i wish it would have made the charts, as clearly it was AND UP TO THIS DAY STILL IS better than any Erasure or Pet Shop Boys album I KNOW.

just my opinion, by the way i think ZTT's rereleases could be better. i can never understand why they never release SINGLE ANTHOLOGIES on their bands when the remix was such an important marketing play for them (they re-invented the remix in the first place and gave it a right to exist, didn't they).

also, they could show some interest in their fans, for in their heydays ZTT used to make its money with their strong and loyal following. but nope, they putt around god knows where in the musical universe these days and seem to sort of, err, get lost.

anyway, thanks so much for so many hours of enduring musical pleasure and joy, you are a great songwriter, musician AND singer. i find your voice fantastic!

kind regards from Munich,
Matthias
