What better night than Halloween to have a CD release party for the legendary CRAWPATCH. It's not a Halloween party but it is. There will be folks dressed both casually and in costume. We'll have candy...

CRAWPATCH is Brandy Parks, guitar/vocals, Andy Morton, Bass/vocals, Jimmy Newman, mandolin, Don McGregor, guitar/vocals, and David Luttrell, banjo/guitar/vocals.

The band has a 30 year Memphis history encompassing numerous great, near great, and late great memphis pickers. Formed out of the remains of two regional bands, Crawdad and Briarpatch, Crawpatch is a loose conglomeration of musicians with so many rotating members that for a while they performed under the name Lost Dog.

Crawpatch is a band that other musicians loved to sit in with. A partial list reads like a who's who of Memphis Musicians: Lee Baker, Jim Dickinson, Sid Selvidge, Tony Thomas, Furry Lewis, Zeke Johnson, Charles McNutt, Alex Chilton, Leo LeBlanc, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ed Finney, Chester Thayer, and Les Birchfield.

Over the last several years, Crawpatch has played many shows around the Memphis and Tri-State area including Otherlands Coffee Bar, the High Tone, the P&H Cafe, and Kudzu's, as well as at festivals in and around the Midsouth: The Pink Palace Arts and Crafts Festival, Cooper Young Festival, and the Memphis Heritage Festival put on by the Center for Southern Folklore, and are regular annual feature of the Magnolia Classic Jack Russell Terrier Trials.

There was one memorable collection of recordings released on 12 inch vinyl by Crawpatch. It was on the Peabody record label, and produced by Sid Selvidge, TRAILER PARK WEEKEND. The vinyl release is rare and out of print, available only on collector websites. Trailer Park Weekend has at long last been remastered on CD. Crawpatch will be performing live, pickin' and singin' all our their songs for you, and copies of the CD will be for sale at the show.

Come on down. It will be a great party. Wear a costume or don't. We'll see you there. We've got candy.
