hello! you don't know me in person, though i saw your performance last year at the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia. anyway, i think your music is pretty much perfection and am waitinggggg for news of something new in the hopefully not too distant future? *crosses fingers*

i'm also from NJ, my name starts with E, i play piano & guitar and write music, and am an anglophile. hehe.

so yeah, just thought i'd say hi.

so sorry to everybody who may have wondered if i actually existed or not - i think i do - and her i am .
Its taken me light years to figure out this myspace stuff!
Im knee-deep at the moment in writing and demoing..no producer as of yet , who knows, i may have to do it myself...and hopefully theyll be a new record by spring-
I'm listening to todd rundgren, reading Karen Armstrongs' 'the history of god' and drinking an australian shiraz called Mcguigan Gold- full-bodied, with a fruity top note and a slight hint of insubordination......xoxo e

Great to hear you are writing and demoing- that first album was very special - "Golden" is extraordinarily beautiful and should have been a massive hit in a just world. Best wishes from South Africa!

Well, I'm here, too!  I thought you just had a label dude taking care of your page...

Glad to know that you are working on the next album.  Your first album - writing, performance - it was just sooo perfect!  Really looking forward to your new songs and seeing you live (if you ever come to Paris...  well, you should!).

I wish you all the best from France!

Hi Eddy,

You don't want to start me on classic Caine films, what's your favorite???

Mine'a a bit of a cliche now but i thibk he's never bettered Get Carter. Roy Budd's score adds to its greatness.

But i'm now in a quandry again, realising your a myspace dweller you may have just introduced me to a whole new world of not being able to get any work done and spending far too much time in bad light straining my eyes at a flickering screen!!

But i guess you know all about that at the moment! ;)

ha ha! a pup? Surely you're only referring to my lack of movie knowledge...I've diapered pups who've since had pups of their own.  I will however take your advice...I have a  free day this weekend coming up. Time to break out the popcorn.

My boyfriend and I saw you at the Middle East in Cambridge, MA one snowy night last year and we're so excited to hear your new material!  Perhaps the next time you're in the Boston area the weather will be a bit nicer.  Keep up the good work, Erin.

either you're the secret love child of Burt Bacharach and Dusty Springfield or there's some serious other-worldly channeling going on here.

Saying that seems to under-rate your uniqueness, hope you knwo where I'm coming from

Just discovered you tonight while cruising the Cousteau profile... I have a feeling I'm about to fall in love.

Those first three songs I heard on your profile are fantastic! What a voice. What an amazing sense of composition and musicality. Beautiful open tones, engaging note selection, and overall beguiling aire...

I think I need to own this record. Oh look! Amazon offers it. And it's hungry jaws are open waiting to receive my credit card. Does it benefit you directly if I were to buy from you or some other outlet instead? Or do you still get a fair royalty check? Amazon has plenty of cash. I'd rather support you.

thank you so much for the kind words...
I would appreciate it massively if you (and everybody else!) bought the record..Amazons' fine, even better to ask your local shop to stock it I guess , but way more inconvenient...
It'll keep the drummer in drumsticks' and me in pantyhose for pop-screens!!

Funny that you mention working with Joe Pernice - he actually lives down the street from me here in Toronto! I love his music, and I think it would be great to hear you two work together - and his records are always impecably produced, too.

Glad you liked Judee Sill! I already had the two albums on cd, but a few months ago I found a copy of Heart Food (her second record - Andy Partridge's fave) on vinyl in a dollar bin, I thought I had died!

Hope to see you back in Toronto in 2008...

Cheers,
Thierry

Your self-titled album is easily one of my top 5 cds ever, I'm constantly playing it.  I hope you've got something coming out soon, cos I'm constantly recommending your cd to other folks.  I know I'll have it on pre-order the second its announced.  Cheers!

The sun is in my living room. The first day off after working my ass of. Went through my cd's and thought: It's been to long. Listened to your oldie, loved it...

And was wondering: Are you out there?! Really happy to find out your are working your ass of as well. Longing for your new cd and for another of your amazing concerts. Seen you twice in Holland...and the one with the blower section was just breathtaking.

(i don't grasp the kudos button concept. whatever, I clicked on 2) FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO PURCHASED EDDY'S ALBUM FROM iTUNES AND GOT THE ART WORK WHERE THE DISTRESSED EFFECT WAS SKEWED WITH THE WRONG ASPECT RATIO - (was i the only one bothered by this?...) anyway - here is a link I found provided by - ANTI, i guess? or "Eddy" herself - http://media.anti.com/agirlcallededdy/st/minihi.jpg you can re-load that as the artwork for the tune in your iTunes. Click on the song. Then "file" then "get info" then "artwork" then "delete" then "add" and you have the right album cover art work for this wonderful album! If you're not on a mac, then the steps for doing this may be a little different. I don't know. PS: i'm not a geek. I just love the album so much, I think it deserves to have the album cover intact. For some reason, the mistake got through when it went on the market over at iTunes.
Best, Nathaniel

Thanks, E. ...I emailed (about that glitch in the graphics) to your page mid-summer; to no avail. Gives me great satisfaction knowing the boss, herself, just heard me and is going in to pluck some limbs! To quote a favorite South Park line: ".....Nice..." Btw, glad you don't think I'm a geek.

Hey Eddie

Looking forward to a new album.   My friends have all commented on your music I have posted on my Myspace account.   Golden is my favorite.  My partner and I saw you in Seattle at the Tractor Tavern.   Sorry for the small turn out.   Seattle usually is such a fan of great music.   Your show should have been sold out.  Your voice soared!  Any chance you are looking for someone to duet with?   I think you and City and Colour would sound amazing together!   Just an idea.  Ciao, Vince

hello erin, eddy, eddie. i think your existance has been confirmed. i'm smoking a roll-up and drinking coffee. i'm doomed.
britney eckles had a double in the naughty bit of the wicker man, because she wasn't happy with her bum. edward woodward had a wooden woodward made because his method acting didn't stretch to being burnt alive.

i miss joe strummer. he questioned everything, and never held back on speaking his mind. he was honest. i can see an element of that in you.
catholisism is built on guilt, and double standards. anybody that can justify it as otherwise, let us know please. i've got a pop shield, but it stinks of kebab. $5.00

well, I would like to think that most of your fans can pick up your chords by ear! But I'm not being realistic. I suppose that's not how it works. And if that were true, that would mean you would really be obscure I guess. So, maybe it's a good sign that people are asking you for sheet music. I suppose I could write the chords down if you wanted. Paying it in my mind, I am remembering that the way the bass is arranged, it leaves a few movements open to interpretation. I guess you would have to write out the most basic forms for readers.
