One thing I love to do as a musician is collaborate. Fall Into is a product of the marriage on brilliant songwriting, playing and execution. It's one of my favorites songs written by the very talented Steven LaFashia and Michael Leavy of
Jealousy Curve, one of the super groups of Philadelphia indie rock.
When I heard Leavy's lyrics for the first time, I practically had to hose myself down:
Perfect picture, paralyze me where I stand,
Taste my secrets if you want them you can...
The Arms of Fortune
Wrap so tightly 'round the sum
Friends and lovers become one
Damn! Not sure what this going to do to my audience when I sing it, but I think I can vouch for Jealousy Curve fans (being one myself) and say that this song makes a girl tingle.
Jake P. provided keys and left hand bass in the recording process and he never, ever disappoints. We came up with some extra melodies to give the track more body. I still hear a lot more with this song, but recording and being pressed for time, one can only do but so much.
Maybe when I do a segment on Palladium I'll add more players :)
