Hi Everyone,
This is Keira writing...finally. I have been meaning to update the MDS myspace site and blog for a while now, but have been too busy. It needs a lot of work, so check back soon to see new pictures, links, etc.
Lycantrop UpdateWhat's keeping Nelson (Mr MDS) busy these days. Well, he and Karim (Jelly) have been in the studio, mastering the tracks for the first 2 CDs that we will release on our newly founded label,
Lycantrop Records. (

Website is COMING SOON!

)
We are planning to co-release both albums at the same time, and there will be some nice rewards to those of you who purchase the actual CD.

The CDs will be titled
Lycans' Meeting and
Hybrid Evolution. I will let you guess which one features 10 tracks contributed by Lycans around the world, and which one features collaboration tracks.
Expected release date: August 2008
He Claims to be Not Human
Nelson's debut album,
He Claims to be Not Human, was recently reviewed on IsraTrance.
Here is a link to the thread! Sales have been typical (crappy) for psytrance, so don't forget, your
purchase helps keep food on our table. And little Solaris is one hungry baby (see
photos section for latest pics)!!!

Meanwhile, the MDS sound continues to evolve...latest tracks are groovier and have been getting great response on dancelfoors.
Zetatalk (to be released on
Lycans' Meeting v.a.) is a good example!
By the way, if you are curious where the name Zetatalk came from, it is an interesting
website that predicts what is going to happen when we experience a magnetic pole shift. Apparently the woman behind the site has been predicting this event for many years; each time a deadline comes and nothing happens, she makes a new one! Of course, now, everything is set to happen around 2012.

Now, before you completely dismiss the idea of a pole shift, there is a lot of buzz about an as yet undiscovered "Planet X" that could cause such a thing to happen...and even if that doesn't happen, the macro-patterns of the various global systems - manmade and natural - e.g. financial, natural disaster, planetary biosystem, resource inequities and military indicate that we should all be prepared for life as we know it to drastically alter in our lifetimes. In other words, the shit is going to hit the fan, one way or the other...ideally, we'd handle it proactively and cooperatively in order to get all systems functioning sustainably. Just imagine what would happen if ALL the skills and capabilities of humanity were directed towards the single goal of establishing planetary harmony. Redirect all military expenditures into environmentally restoring activities. Etc.
Well, a bit off topic - but, not really. This is the stuff we talk about in our house every day. And we are connected to a lot of like-minded individuals. People who are trying to reduce dependency on the grid. People who live lightly, keeping our personal global footprint as small as possible. Change starts with you! If everyone on the planet stopped consuming unnecessarly OVERNIGHT, the gears would be reversed and our planet would no longer crash. Alright, enough philosophizing (and moral grandstanding, forgive me). Let us go back to the life and times of the MDS family...
TravelsNelson is anxiously waiting to hear if
Psycrowdelica is going to happen. We will know by Monday if the organizers can get a new location. Cross your fingers! He'll be really disappointed if it doesn't happen, as this was his only confirmed booking for the summer ('though it is almost certain he will also be playing at a b-day in Portugal end of July). And Psycrowdelica last year was killah.
Speaking of bookings - they have been too few and far between...Nelson is a typical artist in terms of not being good at promoting himself, and I have been busy with the baby. I fully expect that 1 year from now, things will be different!
So, yeah, back to travel. We
might take a roadtrip to go to the
World People party in France. And later this month, we head to Portugal; staying with Nelson's family and then off to
Boom (no baby!)...
...after that, the next big booking is
Shanti Jatra, in Nepal. While Nelson will miss Solaris' 1 year birthday to be there, it is totally worth it!
Baby just woke up, so that'll be all for now!
