Hey All,
This is my first "Blog" of 2009, as I finally have a release date for my next single “Say What You Like” of April 27th!
I mentioned at the end of last year that the single was hopefully going to be released in Feb/March, but we encountered a few problems along the way, that I’m glad to say have now all been sorted!
So we move on….I’m in the middle of booking Radio Tours in various parts of the country over the next few months, to help promote the single and album, and am looking forward to announcing a few solo acoustic gigs, along with a gig for my beloved Cardiff City Football Club, at their end of season bash on May 17th!.....I know some of you managed to get tickets for the sold out event and I’m looking forward to it and to seeing you all again, as it’s been a while!
I have added “Say What You like” to my page, and also added a live acoustic version of “Say What You Like” to my Official Web Site, WWW.OFFICIALJAMESFOX.COM I hope you like it…..if you don’t, then tough, it’s free….so stop complaining!:)
The single has a live acoustic version of “Higher” on the limited edition physical cd, that was recorded at a intimate acoustic session just before Christmas….you can almost taste the sherry!...it will be available for pre order very soon!...the cd or download I mean….not the sherry!
Since the start of 2009, I have been writing more material and took a trip to Nashville and New York to pursue some contacts over the pond…..I had a great time, recharged my musical batteries, got inspired by some extremely talented people and got some very positive feedback….will keep my fingers crossed there!
But my intention for the next few months is to give this new single and the album another big push, and to promote it as hard as I can around the country…I will post the gig dates on the Myspace page as soon as they are confirmed, and look forward to catching as many of you as I can.
At a very tough time, not only for the Music Indusrty, but for the Economy as a whole, I would like to stress how grateful I am for your continued support and I look forward to doing what I haven’t done enough of in the past year, due to other commitments, and that’s playing live.
Till then, take it easy and in the words of my main man Billy…”Don’t take any shit from anybody”
Over and out…

EXCELLENT news, James!!! I know one of those fans that has managed to get tickets to the sold out gig in May...what an honour and I know all in attendance will have an amazing night! Should you make a tour here in the states - and manage to get to Texas (Dallas would be great!! - Hint Hint) then I will certainly be in the audience!

Enjoy the ride! Have a fantastic release "party"! And keep your fans and friends smiling with the wonderful music (and BRILLIANT voice) you give us!

Hugs from Texas

Thanks for the update J, it's been a while for that too and it's great to hear what you've been up to and what you've got planned for the next few months! I can't believe that, apart from your album launch, I've not seen you perform live since you were 'flying high' back in May, that certainly is way too long! I am really looking forward to the Cardiff Dinner, not only to see you which is guaranteed to be a fabulous set, but for the whole occasion as you and the club celebrate the 'End of an Era' at least I can attend as a City fan (well sort of) this year lol!

Already loved the album version of Say What You Like, but really loving the acoustic version too, thanks for sharing it.
You know I am a sucker for listening to just you with your guitar, and I am looking forward to getting my hands on the acoustic 'Higher' when the single comes out, and even more so to the prospect of some acoustic gigs!! Just remember when you are 'getting around the country' that we'd sort of like that to include England and not just Wales, something London way would be good, I work for a struggling bank you know, times are hard!!

Hope the American contacts prove fruitful for you, I'm not at all surprised that you are getting good feedback from talented musicians in the States, that's nothing new you have always had respect for your talent from the world class talents you worked with across the pond. That must mean a lot to you J, I know as far as feedback goes, mine is useless, I'm won over just as soon as you open your mouth! Selfishly though, I hope they don't take you away from us for too long.

Take care, be happy, and I'll see you soon.
