 Wishing you all a kickass rockin New Year!! Hopefully you tuned in to the show last night before you went out and got hammered!! It was our year end celebration in the Dungeon, and of course, the show was dedicated to the best unsigned bands of 2007. These were the bands that blew your mind in the past year. Expect many of them to be snatched up by a label soon

Congratulations to Connecticut's own 'Circus Of Dead Squirrels' for winning this honor two years in a row. Their debut cd took the vote last year, and their sophomore effort totally blew us away again this year. This is one of the most creative and original industrial bands we have ever seen. If you saw their performance at the 'RSP Industry Showcase 2007', then you know what we're talking about. We do not anticipate these guys being unsigned for long. This is a band that could easily rule the world, and we'll do our best to make sure that happens!! All hail 'Circus Of Dead Squirrels'

Congratulations go out to Florida's own 'Dive Bar Stalkers' for taking the honor of 'Song Of The Year'. This band is currently one of the hottest properties on the Florida scene. Their unique blend of Rockabilly, Psychobilly, and sheer heart attack rock is causing quite a sensation. Their performance at the 'RSP Showcase Pre-Party' even gained the band label interest. Their party anthem 'Ready For Another Round' was the most requested song of the year on 'Rock Solid Pressure'..We applaud the addition to the hallowed halls

MOVIE OF THE YEAR 2007: 300 (No surprise there)
 THE ROCK SOLID PRESSURE RADIO COMPETITIONS 2008: Ok, fiends, time once again to join us in the arena. the mighty 'SEVENTH CALLING (MN)' will pass the crown on Monday night. The battles have returned to the airwaves. Our sponsors, and the many labels we're affiliated with will once again spring into action. GET READY!! It's time for the voting fans to spring into action as well. The games are back and your post-voting stress is over!! Hopefully you'll all tune in and support your favorite unsigned band. Once again, we go head-to-head with that American Idol crap. Since 2002, we've been tagged as an 'official' rival to that nonsense (Did you see our interview in Penthouse?). There's a huge difference though. We feature 'real' Rock / Metal bands who are actually ready for the next level in their career. If bands suck, they don't make our show PERIOD!! There's no pandering and we don't exploit 'bad' talent.
When the competitions are over, whenever we find our Grand Prize Winner of 2008, look forward to another live Showcase for the labels in September. The event will feature all of the high scoring winners, and of course, the Grand Prize Winner of 2008. The DVD from our 2007 Showcase will be available next week. If you were there, then we know you'll want a copy. If you were not there, then get a copy and see what you missed. Just hit us back and we'll give you shipping details.
Although we feature a lot of superstar guests on the show, and spin corporate stuff, we also work extremely hard for unsigned bands. Rock Solid Pressure was founded on the premise of instant A&R gratification. Bands don't have to jump through hoops of fire and sell out their artistic integrity by performing Nirvana songs to win a record deal.. Our competitions are quite simple. Be a kickass band and have plenty of fans ready to vote. They're voting for what these bands do best..Perform their own original asskickin songs!!. We are at total odds with 'American Idol, The Next Worst American Band, Pooper-Nova' and all the pay-for-play bogus web contests and scams that are wasting a hard working band's time. We are the real deal!! If bands show us numbers, then we'll show 'em labels

And yes, you're vote actually counts here. It's not rigged like the crappy reality tv shows and some of these glorified competitions that are going around the country. Didn't you ever ask yourselves 'why' the vote count is kept under wraps. That's because it's rigged to entertain a television audience. We actually 'allow' bands in to watch the votes come in. We'll also send a printout of votes if requested. When we started back in 2002, there was none of this bogus crap circulating. A lot of this stuff is devised by 'one' label (please don't make us mention it). We work with 'all' the labels and our A&R consultant positions are run the same way it's been run for the past century. If you have never voted on the 'Rock Solid Pressure Show' (gasp), you actually have a chance to advance your favorite band to a label.
The process is quite simple. when you hear something you like on Monday night, just email a vote (one only) to RockSolidPressure@yahooo.com You can only vote while your favorite song is playing. you have approx 4 minutes to cast a vote, so you have to be fast. You are controlling the outcome of the show, so get involved and move your favorites into victory
