Poor Bruce Springsteen - Oh, what a shame! Prior to yesterday it may have been said that he was the greateset ever to grace the stage of the Stone Pony. But, alas, that is the case no more. Fans of "the Boss" should not despair, though; for The Monkery is a humble band, and we would never dare to let our pictures replace those already hanging of the aged rocker. In fact, we'll see to it that the Stone Pony does as little as possible to commemorate our performance last night. It will be as if we were never there. Unfortunately, somewhere in the middle of "Insane Crazy" our singer, Stu, sprained his ankle quite badly, so we'll be taking these last few days of 2006 at a slow pace. When 2007 rolls around, we're going to make it a goal to play the Stone Pony as often as possible. The venue truly is terrific, and we would love for it to be one of our haunts. As for now, our next show is scheduled for January 13th at Williams college. If you're going to be in the area, try and catch us. Otherwise, we'll be in New York at the Mercury Lounge at the end of the month. Until then... -Adam
p.s. We all really dig Bruce Springsteen. The first paragraph is meant in jest, so don't get pissed off. But seriously, it's all true.
