Though it may not be an official holiday according to the United States government, January 25th, which marks the birth of Scotland's greatest poet, Robert Burns, will surely be celebrated as one in the Monkery household. We will settle down with a bottle of Scotch and remember the gentle man whose clever turn of phrase instilled Scotsmen the world over with a sense of pride that would last indefinitely.

'Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi'the sun:
I will love thess till, my dear,
While the sands o'life shall run:

And fare thee well, my only luve!
And fare thee weel, a while!
And I will come again, my luve,
      Tho'it ware ten thousand mile.'

He wrote these words; and it has long been a dream of mine to find a beautiful young lass, preferably brown haired, green eyed, American Indian by blood, fluent in Italian, and who digs Alice in Chains, to whom I can utter them, lovely as they are, and pass them off as my own as we share a haggis and a single malt. A boy can dream, and this boy will.

ALSO....... we have our largest show to date coming up on January 27th at the Mercury lounge. It's been a few weeks now since we've played NYC, so we're going to come with a lot of energy. It will be a show you won't easily forget. In the words of Van Damme... "Trust me."

      Ciao,
      Adam
