This is not really a comment, but a continuation. I am loving this little band. I have worked with a bunch of 'legends' of the blues for the last 25 yrs. And I have to say the scene in the blues is a stinky butt drag. There are so many people who are doing 'wish-I-could-play-a-shuffles' that it makes me sick.The old-timey musicians I would think have that ilk among them as well, but our little combo has really formed out of an organic love for the feel of the song.I know we don't have the hottest pickers in the band, but we make the song sound and feel right. I think that is what soul music is. Feeling. I don't really care what you wear, what you say, or how old your instrument is.. Of course, it doesn't really matterwhat I care about either, but it is the blog where I am king!!! If anyone is reading this blog, I can only imagine this rant is useless drivel, but it does indicate the thrust of the Backyard Party Boys.
