So, for my first trip on our new website, I decided to go on a solo trek to Milwaukee WI to catch their local sports team, the Milwaukee Brewers in thier home stadium, Miller Park.
It was kind of a miserable day, wet and humid, but it was ok, because, Miller Park has a retractable roof, keeping us patrons inside nice and dry. The game was sold out, little did I realize later that it was an all fan giveaway day at the park. Every fan in attendance got a free Cecil Cooper bobblehead doll. Not having any sort of limbs, I found it difficult to carry the box around, but that's ok, what's a snake going to do with a bobblehead anyway?
It was also father's day, I did not realize this until later as well. It made me sad, for I lost my father years ago to a lawnmower. I never did find out whom that mower belonged too, but that's neither here nor there. I was away from home and enjoying myself..
There was a great energy to the crowd that day, everyone was in a great mood, with the exception of a few unruly fans. Seems there are some snakeists out there who seem to think its ok to sling a few animalistic epitaphs my way when they have a few swigs of the "liquid courage", glug, glug. They called me things like "belly-crawler" and "sidewinder". First of all dummy, I'm a cobra, hence the hood, secondly, I thought we were past this whole "snakes are evil" thing. I don't mean to harp on, but ever since the days of the bible, snakes have been getting a bad wrap. I mean its us vs. them, and they're winning. I mean, I can't even get a job without having the interviewer ask if I carry deadly venom. Of course I carry a deadly venom, I'm a cobra! My buddy Carl is a big actor out in Cali, and all he gets offered is parts of the dangerous silent killer that lurks beneith the water, waiting for someone to come along. I mean honestly the man played Hamlet in London for 2 years, he has some range!!
Oh God, sorry about that, I just get so mad sometimes. I didn't mean to slither onto my soapbox.
Anyway, outside of those few ugly instances, everything was great. Check out my photos section to see some pix from my trip. You could also go to
my yahoo photos page and see even more pix of me at Miller Park.
So, where am I off to next. I'm not sure, but check back soon and find out. And hey, If you're a snake, and you've been to a cool place, make sure to drop me a line, either here or at snakesontheworld@yahoo.com and I'll try to get you online.
Take Care,
ssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!
