Andrew W.K. celebrated his 30th birthday on Saturday, May 9th, 2009, by playing a surprise secret show in London, England at a special club called the Old Blue Last.  Also sharing the stage with Andrew were ALEISTER X, BAD BRILLIANCE, and DAVID TIBET, of CURRENT 93. 

Andrew says:
"I've never had a more fun and wild birthday in my life.  It was a deep honor and pleasure to celebrate this special night in London, with so many amazing friends, new and old.  I feel very blessed and humbled by all the love given to me - I will harness it, amplify it, and send right back to you.  Thank you to everyone who came and partied!  Thank you to those who gave me the fireworks and birthday cake!  Thank you to Aleister X, Bad B, Joe, Chris, Oana, David, Dri, Peaches, Pete, Paul, and everyone at Vice!  Thank you so much, England!"
