So, after three months of coordination, it looks like we have a solid tour schedule. It's a short one but it goes like this:
Wednesday, August 12th we are at Death By Audio, a cool loft space in Brooklyn. We are playing with some amazing bands including Himalayas and Monkeypod. This will be our first show on tour so please come out to say goodbye.
Thursday, August 13th we are in Wilmington, Delaware at Mojo 13. We've never played in Delaware so we looking forward to meeting new friends and hopefully spending an hour or two at the beach.
Now, here's where YOU come in...Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15 we currently don't have anything booked. We are looking to play a show somewhere either in Philly, D.C., or the Maryland area; anything less than a 5 hour drive from Chapel Hill (our next stop.) Perhaps, you would like to set up a house party? Let us know if yr interested.
Sunday, August 16 we are playing the fine ol' town of Chapel Hill, NC at The Nightlight. The last time we were in Chapel Hill we played a place that you had to have a membership to get into. Is this the case with all clubs in NC?
Monday, August 17- day off- we would love to play somewhere in either NC or SC.
Tuesday, August 18 we play The Pour House in Raleigh, NC. During the day you may spot The Beatings running throughout the streets of NC. You see, we've all recently started getting into running...sorry to get sidetracked. But seriously, if you like to run, maybe we could put a wager on a race; You VS Tony. And if you live in Raleigh come on down!
Wednesday, August 19 we play The Pilot Light in Knoxville. We've been to this joint at least 4 times in the past. The last time we played here their staff stopped us in mid-set so that we could all take a break and watch a bridge explode. What will happen this time? Will the legendary Will Fist make an appearance? We do hope so.
Thursday, August 20 we play the Caledonia in Athens, GA and we are hoping that fred Schneider comes to show. The last time we played Athens we bumped into Michael Stipe, so it could happen. Athens is a sleepy, college town so we are hoping the locals come out for a cold one and a killer rock show. Local band The Starter Kits are also playing.
Friday, August 21- The Green Lantern in Lexington, KY. What can we say? Lexington kicks ass. The people are sweet, especially Robby Cosenza (the mayor of Lexxy) and we can't wait to eat at Gumbo Ya Ya. Yeah! Also on the bill are Slow Claw with Kyle Andrews. Come on out and we'll make sure you have a good time.
See you soon! Erin
