Well, we had a gig with Horse which was interesting, as I have never ever been in the Cumberland Arms and paid more than £5 ish to see a band. So seeing Horse there was a mystery to me, she would have been a lot more comfortable at the Live theatre or Buddle arts centre, as The Cumberland is very much a bar with smoking and drinking, which was'nt quite the thing for Horse as she has very hardchore fans that really wanted an audience with her greatness rather than a fag (no pun intended) and pint.
A rebel factor in the audience (who also paid £14) were a bit oblivious to Horses needs, as they talked, smoked fags and drank pints throughout the concert........well for £14 would'nt you just??.
The highlight of the evening for me was, Horse in her magnificanteringness (yeah i know that's not a word but I wanted to get a rubbish horsey joke in somehow) on returning for her 2nd encore, knelt and kissed the stage of the Cumberland Arms...you could have heard a pin drop, as we all know that was almost a suicidal move what with the suspected health and saftey issues at the Cumberland...ie; the carpeted toilet floors and no toilet paper...anyway that doesnt bare thinking about. She survived and so did we.
As for Mush we frolicked in our paddock, grazed on some grass(??) drank too many Gin and Tonics and still the audeince gave us due respect.
I twisted my ankle on a cobbled street walking home...how glamourous.
