Since it's initial release in July 2003 , Solaris heights 'Midnight' has

never really gone away . Whilst dancefloor fashions have , as always , come

and gone , Midnight's P funk / electronic boogie infused bass groove ,

crisp rhythms and simple but memorable male vocal lines have found there

way into everything from Deep House Sets , to warm ups at Secret Sundaze ,

sunset sets in Ibeefa , innumerable mix albums , and the odd doggy bootleg .

So it was only right that this underground bomb got another airing (A side

) , and we could think of no one better for a remix than Padded Cell. With

ex Bronx Dog Richard Sen at the helm , the Cell have recorded a couple of

storming releases for the incomparable DC imprint , and now they combine

their Krautrock influenced electronic disco with fragments of the original

vocal to create a shimmering , psychedelic dancefloor stormer , that ebbs

and flows and goes off at tangents whilst never taking its eyes of the

prize .
