Jawaahir Dance Company celebrates our twentieth anniversary and our fifteenth season at the Southern Theater! In keeping with her commitment to presenting the best of Arabic music and dance, Cassandra and the Jawaahir dancers perform new works with the most awe-inspiring, mind-blowing, house-rockin' Arabic musicians this country has to offer. New spins on traditional styles permeate the presentations, bringing enchantment (tarab) and virtuosity to center stage. These concerts are a unique opportunity to hear and see the inspired artistry of contemporary Arabic music and dance! Join us as we celebrate the new (jadid) and honor the traditional (turath).
