ROCKIN’ RICK & THE PREACHERS

Gabe,

My name is Rick Surrano. I live in Athens, New York. We met a few times at a dump called Augies on Rt 9w in Coxsackie, NY. Now I don't expect you to remember me. But we talked a bit about your Dad and how much of an influece he was to Blues and Myself.

My band still plays around the area, Winham Mtn, Hunter Mtn, all around the Greene County and ALbany County area. My harp has brought me such joy, and to so many places. I opened at the Hard Rock Cafe Down on Beale St. Played the Chicago Blues Festival twice. We have had so much fun performing and informing the crowds about the Blues. At every show I play I always remember your Dad. He was so instrumental in my musical life. My band Rockin' Rick & the Preachers do a few of your dads numbers and before each one I talk about your Dad to the crowd. Check out my page on Myspace and you'll here Born in Chicago. It's a ruff cut but it sounds o.k.

Well Gabe, take care and I wish you all the best.

Take care
Rick
