May peace and bliss be unto us all. Recently, I moved from Valley Village to North Hollywood, which is technically a few blocks away from each other. Therefore, the move wasn't nearly as stressful as i had anticipated. To put things into perspective... I moved to Los Angeles in 2004, and this is now my 5th residential address! initially, i thought this to be a lot, but after analyzing a little bit, I realized that being an actor in Los Angeles basically means to be unstable. All in a days work I say. The point is, change, if not the only lasting truth, is definitely inevitable. I am a strong advocate of embracing transition because life is all about transitioning. Humans tend to get comfortable in situations, so when an abrupt or cataclysmic transition occurs, they panic! Accept. Do not expect. Life and death and everything in between is all about transition. Speaking of, I really like my new neighborhood! I've been familiar with the NOHO Arts district for sometime now, but never before have I been engulfed in it, as those who live here. It's a huge change from my previous residence, which was nice, just not really inspiring. My block in the North Hollywood Arts District is ideal for artists! It's literally dozens of theatres, theaters, cafes, little boutique shops, studios, diners, etcetera. There is one place called the Amsterdam Cafe that is right across the street from my flat. This place is pretty tight, as it has all sorts of teas, and coffees, and iced drinks, and a hookah lounge, and paintings on the wall, and wifi, and even a stage for its open mic nights on tuesdays and fridays. They are open fairly late also, so needless to say, that this will be my new hangout spot.. There is also a plastic recycling center down the street at the 24 hr ralphs so I can walk all my plastic and glass bottles down there and redeem them for the crv. I do not know where my next residence will lead me, but I anticipate the transition!
