Current mood:  curious
These are to that I like the way they look but I know that comfort for the horse is more important... So im just looking for help on finding the right saddle, like how do you find the right size for you and your horse.

Can you tell me where a good place/website to look for saddles?
Whats a good brand and what to look for?

I personally had nothing but problems with my synthetic but then again.. mine was a Wintec saddle.. it pushed on my mare's withers really bad and it really irritated my gelding.. I am not sure of the Abetta style saddle.. but I really like the looks of it and I think it would flashy on your little filly.. just make sure you go with fit before fashion..

what type of saddle is the other one? is that a Circle Y brand? if it is.. I have a Circle Y NBHA barrel racer and it's really comfy, the seat holds you in perfectly and fit wise, I never had a problem with it..

another good brand to look into especially for barrel racing is Billy Cook.. my training saddle is a Billy Cook maker barrel racer and it's awesome.. i've had it for 6 years now, it's been rolled on, dropped, stepped on and it's still in awesome condition, fits every horse i ever had it on, looks pretty and all in all is a good style saddle..

hopefully i helped a little.. good luck!

i had an abetta and i just dont like the look and support of it,  it just looks cheap unless you get the synthetic leather ones they have those are nice looking, lol im just telling you on looks... i LOVE that pink one though it would match you and your baby perfect when the time comes to ride her. and its leather and leather lasts forever!

I have never had one of the synthetic saddles so I really can say how they will work on a horse.  I have always heard that riding a horse bareback is not the best for them, so in the same line of thought, I have heard some people say there is not enough support in these saddles........but again, I have not spoken to an expert on horse care about them, and never tried them.  I was thinking of try one though.  They are cute.  I currently have a Billy Royal training saddle that I trail ride in.  Brand new, it was dipped in olive oil so it is like already broke in...heaven.  It is a smooth seat and the rest is ruff out leather.  I like a circle Y too.  I have a circle Y show saddle and it is comfey.  Had a Martha Josey barrel racer and it was nice too. Used to like the old Billy Cooks.  Having a good saddle is like having a good pair of shoes.  Best of luck on your decision.........

Of the two I prefer the Circle A, but it all depends on what you and Roxy plan on doing -- barrels, trail riding... and the most important thing in a saddle how well it fits the horse and you.  I much prefer a good used saddle to a cheap new saddle, but if you'll be showing you may not want used.

I've been very happy with Simco saddles, and that's all I'll buy now, having had a few different brands and gotten rid of the others.  You can sometimes find a good used Simco on EBay.  I especially like my Simco saddles because, though they're all leather, they're light weight; around 20 pounds.  They make heavier saddles too, but heavy isn't needed for trail riding and I have a heck of a time lifting a 40-lb. saddle onto a horse.   A high cantle is really nice, and both of these have that.

A girl at my stables bought an abetta a bit like that, the tree is not straight. The little girl still rides in it because she probably only weighs 40 lbs. she's a little thing, but for more than a little kid doing walk/trot classes you'll want to go for something that's comfortable for the horse. The best synthetic saddle is the half synthetic Fabtron. I LOVE mine. Of course, they don't have astrich leather and sparkles on them.

Abettas are nice but ask any equine cyropractor((sp??)) and they tear ur horses muscluses up. They are designed for peoples comfort not your horses, I learned that the hard way...

I like Both these brands, but like circle A more, because i use roping saddles. The most important thing is to fit your horse for a saddle. If he/she is thin shouldered they wouls need a diffrent saddle thatn a thick chested cutting horse would.
