Current mood:  inspired
I get the entitled question a lot in emails, so here is a little insight. First of all, in everyday life I am STILL trying to obtain what I declare as "success" which to me is mainstream success, to where you see your own name on Yahoo's top searches. Don't get me wrong I am thankful and inspired about what I have already accomplished, those were BIG. And I hope they've inspired you too. But I am CONSTANTLY trying to do more. So in my mind I never take a vacation or say to myself "yep. I'm successful, I'll stop now."

Success itself is a journey. You decide where it will lead you.

"Where do I start?":
-Practice everyday. Look in the mirror and be comfortable in your own skin. If you are not, then the journey ends there. Practice facial expressions, then body, then body and facial in a full length mirror. Pick up Vogue or BODacious or whatever tickles your fancy. How well can you do those same poses?
-Networking and Fanbase are big because without networking, who do you know in the business? How else are you going to know about opportunities? How would others know you are serious and looking? Also, most importantly are my fans. Without people admiring your work, looking for you, and even demanding you, your work will fall on deaf ears. And because they are so important, I try to make myself as accessible as possible to them when I go to events like the BBW Vegas Bash and BODacious Nights www.bodaciousnights.com. I try my best to answer emails and I am always willing to pose for a picture with you or even sign something of yours. I really do appreciate the fanbase I was able to build on myspace, twitter, and facebook, to name only a few places.
-Know your style (thing is a long one): Style to me is not only yor body type, your clothes, but how you present yourself, how you handle even the toughest situations and how you put yourself out there. Know your body, get naked in front of a full length mirror and study your curves and overall shape...measure your bust, waist, hips (it's helpful when you buy stuff online lol). Experiment with colors and clothing styles that accentuate your best features. Also know are you more goth? Punk? Pinup? What kind of clothing trends appeal to you. For example I love bling, big hair with a flower in it...that's basically how you will find me at an event lol. It's all about what makes you comfortable. Some people don't wear makeup and like T-shirts and jeans. Some people like short spikey hair, some long and straight, etc. Do whatever pleases you and do what you think makes YOU feel and look good. No matter what there will always be at least one hater in the crowd...just remember, you can't please everyone! Please yourself, because in the end that's all you have.

You also have to know how to act. Are you gossipy? Do you bully? Spread lies? Act catty? Fly off the handle? Never smile? I can tell you now those things do NOTHING to your character except have people run from you. You must always smile and try to handle things with grace. There are plenty of people out there, likely reading this, who try to spread rumors about me and even the people I am affiliated with! 9 out of 10 times I ignore them. Why? Because I am not in highschool anymore. I have bigger and better fish to fry and I am on the yellow brick road...you cannot touch me! Overall, I still wish them the best.

Also punctuality is key. You do not want to be the "model that flakes" and at events, sometimes arriving "fashionably late" is NOT fashionable at all!

Be careful what you put out there! Don't blog about your beat down baby daddy, your suicide attempts, etc, etc. You have to be STABLE in this business and have a THICK SKIN. Drama, and the inability to handle your own and throwing your dirty laundry out there is a turn off. I will often find a wonderful looking BBW but when I go to her site I see her blogs and reading stuff like that makes me not want to give advice. It scares me to be honest. You don't wanna scare people away. Also, don't put out camera phone pics of your ass in a thong and expect not to be made fun of or treated like a piece of meat. If you pose like that, it has to be done professionally and tastefully! And you must own it! Don't be all, 6 months later, "I don't do nudes". You must mean what you say and do and do and say what you mean! People think that hiding in front of a computer gives them the green light to say and email whatever they want. I do have an adult site. I do have some risque pics. I expect to get explicit comments and tard emails. I'm not going to get mad. I either post them or not, reply to the email or not. It doesn't affect my life, it's just myspace and myspace is just for fun!

-Supporting One Another. Not everyone is going to like you or agree with what you do or who you are. However it is still important to EMPOWER eachother in the BBW community! People of size have been ridculed, hurt, and discriminated against for too long! Not one single person or one tiny thing is going to improve it. It's up to EVERYONE to make a positive impact! Start by signing the petition...please read, it isn't about BODacious Magazine, it's a movement to have the word "Bodacious" refer to ALL BBWs positively! Pass it on! Make ALL of your family and friends sign it. Then think what else can you do! www.whatsyournumber.org!

To every lady that's emailed me, I hope that answers many of your questions! And to my friend that I met at the bash who says she reads my blogs lol, I am thinking of you as I write this. Much luv!
