Last night we played a show to benefit a local ministry. It was a food drive and quite a bit was gathered for them. The show was a success, but this is not what I truly want to talk about. I didn't hear any voices or anything like that, but half way through a song that we've written called King's Ransom, the Holy Spirit let me feel it's presence and almost brought me to tears. By doing this, some answers to some questions were revealed. You see I've been dealing with the blessings that have been given to our friends and brothers in Wisdom's Call the wrong way. They have been blessed by being offered a recording contract. The big dance for musicians is now in their hands. Yes, I'm excited for them, and yes I wish them all the best, they have a true desire to spread the truth and a heart to help those that are lost find Jesus Christ. I guess that I was a little envious, not to the point of being bitter mind you, the friendship that has grown between the two bands is something that has rarely happened in all my years as a musician. I really didn't know how to handle their blessing, but that was until last night. In a brief second I was set at peace, and this is what I felt. No matter if it's one or one hundred thousand, we are doing the work of the Lord. No matter if one person comes to know the Lord, or if it may be just a nudge that was needed to send them in search of His face, we are there. Gymnasium or arena, good or bad, whatever God blesses us with, I will sing of His glory. To the Devil, you have lost this battle. To my brothers in Wisdom's Call, forgive me, you have my blessings and friendship for all eternity. I love you guys.
So until next time, pray for Wisdom's Call, as they set out on the biggest journey that the Lord could bless them with. And if you could, pray for us, that the Devil never get a toehold again.
In Christ,
Pat
