Heyyyy... This is Blake here.... Time for a tangent and an explanation. I guess we shouldn't be ambiguous jerks any longer. No, Name Taken is not getting back together. Ryan, Chad, and I just jam every now and then when we get a chance. We all go to school and work. Chad and I go to Cal State Fullerton and Ryan goes to Berkeley... We are all Juniors now. As far as the demo, "Love Is Gone (AKA Nothing In My Shirt)", I just told Chad, "I like that song we half way finished, I want to put it up so it doesn't go to waste". We recorded it, I believe in late August. We will probably get together and change it ten-thousand more times because music has become our hobby as opposed to our profession. Thanks to this, we can do whatever the F we want. We have tons of demos that hopefully we can share with people from time to time, and who knows, maybe one day do something "real" with them. Hmmm. What else? Well, I suppose I should remind people not to take this stuff or us too seriously. We are just some dudes who used to be in a band. I suppose Name Taken, as most would remember, does not really exist any more. Ryan, Chad, and I just use the Name Taken alias to share SOME of the music that we make. I guess I'll finish up. When I say this, I'm sure Ryan and Chad would agree with me. As I sit in my desk in class, or at my desk at work. I think about the comments, the e-mails, and the love that I get from people like you, and it blows me away. I consider the experience surreal most times. We put up a little demo song and people say the kindest things one could imagine. I really do appreciate what Name Taken did for my life. I suppose what I'm trying to say is... Thank You.
p.s. I've seen a couple (2 or 3) comments saying that the song sounds influenced by The Snake The Cross The Crown. I had never heard the band until I just looked them up after people making those comments. They are pretty cool. Cool is good.
p.p.s. I would like to revisit this all one day... maybe a reunion tour in 2020?
