I have to say that this is the best line-up that Idle Hour has had since we started this monster 5 years ago. Of course Aaron and I are still here, along with Colt. Kris has solidified his place in this band with his talent and extreme level of commitment. Our newest member, Tim, is an absolute beast on the drums, and is a driving force when things get tough. He has become a member of the family and has brought us to a whole new level musically. Things are looking up and we hope to be recording soon.

It seems that we are all doing projects other than Idle Hour these days. I am filling in with Disillusioned, and having a great time with that. Colt and Kris have started their own acoustic project, Divine Massacre, and their music is impressive to say the least. Tim has been jamming out with Harris of Project Downfall and a guitarist by the name of Joe. I don't know alot about it, but Tim says the original music they're doing is pretty badass. I'm looking forward to hearing it. Make sure to check out Disillusioned and Divine Massacre as soon as you get the chance! If I get anymore info on Tim's project, I'll be sure to let you all know.

Idle Hour is working on our heaviest tune to date, along with a couple others. Colt has made some awesome contributions to the musical aspect of the band since he has improved so dramatically with his guitar playing. We can't wait to get those songs finished up so we can unleash them upon the world! The newest HEAVY HITTER has been a joint effort by myself and Aaron, and promises to be more brutal and progressive than anything we've done yet. Of course, our signature dual guitar melodies are a centerpiece of everything we do, and this one raises the bar a bit. It's fast, it's heavy, and it's intricate, with that Idle Hour flair! Come see us at Battle of the Bands on Saturday August 15th at Stage 5. The whole thing starts at 1:00 PM, so come make a day of it!
